Had the fries and honey sriracha wings and safe to say it was not gluten free. I immediately had a reaction.
We ordered takeout, and specifically ordered off of the gluten free menu, as well as made a note about a gluten allergy. The food came with fries and when we called to check that the food was safe, the person who answered the phone told us “if you ordered it that way then it is” needless to say, I spent the entire night horribly ill. Used to be a great place but they do not care about allergies
My husband and I stopped in for lunch this past weekend as 1st time customers. I mentioned to the waitress that I had celiac and needed gluten free. I ordered a burger, she asked if I wanted fries, I proceeded to say no because they are cooked in the same oil. Celiac's can NOT have cross contantimation! I have been so sick since lunch on Saturday & its Monday. This place is not celiac safe, I was fooled by their menu. It's ashamed that us as celiacs cannot trust restaurants to cook properly for us.
The staff is extremely rude, and the GM victim blames. Do not waste your time.
Not worth the risk. Several tempting items listed as GF but kitchen & staff is careless and/or unaware of cross-contamination. One server actually stated awareness and served contaminated dish anyway (GF sandwich came buried in non-GF fries). Order returned, new sandwich made without fries; still got severely glutened.
This makes no sense; may as well delete GF menu entirely.
A previous delivery order: GF short-rib grilled cheese sandwich + curry chicken, was delicious and without incident. This is frustrating because of the potential. A little education, consistency & dependability would give this place 5 stars.
Update: AVOID AVOID AVOID
Now adding the words "misleading and negligent." "Reckless, ignorant and indifferent." Zero stars, plus making health dept. inquiry.
It’s 10/16/22, and I called them last night to ask if it’s Celiac safe, and the guy on the phone was not convincing, and even said if you get anything fried, it will probably be cross-contaminated. The kitchen is small as well, so they don’t have to space to really separate GF menu ingredients during prep. I didn’t and wouldn’t take the chance. Hope this is helpful! :))
Got the short rib grilled cheese and I’m still dreaming about it 🤤 I also ordered the wings and didn’t get sick so that’s a massive plus in my book
Burgers are pretty good. Fries are made in the same oil as everything else, so make sure to avoid if sensitive.
Brunch was nice. Had tomato soup, which was up there with best I’ve ever had. The Woodbines Omelet was tasty and came with home fries, a gf roll and greens with a nice citrus vinaigrette. Large variety of ciders available as well. Ask for a GF menu and let them know you have celiac.
