Es besteht definitiv die Möglichkeit einer Kreuzkontamination.

Die Brötchen werden auf der rechten Seite des Grills auf die Würstchen gelegt. Ich muss eine ältere Bewertung widerlegen, die damit beginnt, dass Brötchen und Grill strikt getrennt sind. Auf dieser Seite des Grills werden die Brötchen mit Würstchen und Kraut gefüllt.

Die Kellnerin bot an, Würstchen von der linken Seite des Grills zu nehmen. Aber: Da das Personal die gleiche Zange zum Wenden der Würstchen und zum Füllen der Brötchen verwendet, besteht eine 100%ige Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Kreuzkontamination.

Als symptomatischer Zöliakiepatient würde ich daher nicht empfehlen, das Risiko einzugehen.

The buns are put on the sausages on the right side of the grill. I have to refute an older review starting that buns and grill are strictly separated. On that side of the grill the buns get filled with sausages and kraut.

The waitress offered to take sausages from the left side of the grill. But: As the personal uses the same tongs for turning the sausages and filling the buns, there is a 100% likelihood for cross-contamination.

So as a symptomatic celiac I wouldn't recommend taking the risk.

Die Würste sind sehr lecker und ohne Zusatzstoffe. Bei der Kellnerin war ich mir nicht sicher, ob sie mich ernst nimmt. Ich habe dann in die Küche gesehen und mich somit sicherer gefühlt. Brot wird in getrennten Körben serviert und nicht auf dem Teller.

Amazing German sausages! They serve 3 items: Wurst, Kraut, and Rolls & 2 of the three are GF (not the rolls - which are kept separate). Staff was aware of allergies & I saw the kitchen where only meat touches the grill. So nice, I went twice!

Bratwurst, sauerkraut and kartoffelsalat are gluten free, and you can have wine with your meal.

It was a treat to be able to eat at this 500 year old restaurant. They served me a variety of GF sausages that were probably the best I’ve ever had, and happily offered gluhwein instead of the usual beer.
