Review of Yardbird

I had the delicious fried chicken and gf waffles. The chef came out to talk to me. He was clearly knowledgeable. They weren’t extremely busy at 6pm so maybe this wouldn’t happen if they were busy. My non-celiac son had the same thing and his waffles were a different size - they use a different waffle press for the gf batter. The lard-fried chicken was they best I’ve had, so moist and the batter stuck to the meat. Though it has been 21 years since I’ve had it in a restaurant! No problems or illness. French fries are in a shared fryer, so I didn’t have those, but the chef was willing to make some for me separately if I wanted to wait. But I knew the main dish would be enough food. Service was excellent, too.
