Review of Yardbird

The gf fried chicken is A-MA-ZING, but it costs $33 and that is only for half a chicken -- no sides. My GF son got the GF chicken and waffles and said that they were the best GF waffles he's ever had, so I would recommend getting that if you don't have dairy allergies as well. The sides were an additional $14 and only two were both gf and dairy free. I tried the collard greens, but was disappointed. They were undercooked and showed up with pork rinds on top that ended up being unsafe due cross contamination. The menu says they are GF, but when I asked what was on top of the greens (it is VERY dark in there), the waiter immediately took the plate back and said that they shouldn't have been on there. The server was fantastic, but you still need to be absolutely clear when ordering that you want the gf version of anything you get and ask lots of question. Also worth mentioning is that we had 6pm reservations and it was so loud in the restaurant that we could only have a conversation with the person right next to us. It was a beautiful restaurant and the food was truly worth the money, but we were there for a very special occasion and were disappointed that we all had to shout to be heard over the crowd noise (music level was fine).
