Used to come here a lot before I was diagnosed celiac. After diagnosis I asked about GF options (not marked on the menu and no separate menu). The server was knowledgeable of cross contact and shared fryer issues and double checked my options with the chef and reported back to me. Main options were to go with a bunless sandwich but they said they had a GF wrap that I’m guessing was a swap option for tacos.
We asked two people if they accommodate gluten free before we even looked at the menu. Both had no clue. I was told that the tacos could be made into bowls but I saw “beer battered” and “fried” on most of the tacos. The only things that would’ve been any bit safe would’ve been nachos or a salad. I had little faith in them handling cross contamination well too. We left without even ordering. I would not recommend if you’re a sensitive Celiac.
Though they don’t have a GF menu, the server was very helpful in guiding safe selections. No dedicated fryer. We adapted nachos to be on a bed of rice instead of tortillas for a delicious entree. Offered GF wraps for tacos. They ensured that the kitchen would take precautions to avoid CC. All in all a great waterside experience.
