Server & chef did an amazing job concerning themselves about my wife. Turns out the butter can have gluten in it. And so they warned her about it and found options that worked for her. Very considerate.
Great food with an allergen list and items marked as no gluten added
I’ve eaten here several times because my extended family loves it. They have a GF menu and I’ve never gotten sick, but the food (unlike their regular menu) is completely bland. They use absolutely no seasoning on GF food.
Took me three requests to get a gluten free menu (including one from my boyfriend), the gluten menu is ridiculously hard to read mixed in with the low cal stuff (it’s not the same thing)- I ended up having to look at the menu online. Also, the “no gluten added” designation is really scary. I know they’ve been through an ebb and flow with their menus (at one point years ago they refused to give me any gluten free menu for fear of lawsuit), but this is ridiculous. Just say you can’t guarantee cross contamination, and say what’s gluten free- like every other restaurant. We would understand what that means. But no gluten ADDED? Who adds gluten? Gluten is naturally occurring, so guess what, even bread is no gluten added!
I will not be coming back to Zea’s.

This was an amazing place for lunch, Had the lamb and it was the best lamb I have ever had. There is a lot of gf options the only thing that I would suggest is they use gf soy sauce so that those with celiac can have the wonderful sauces.
their menu is one of thise annoying menus thatg conbines low calorie and gluten free. it is very confusing to read and many things that should be gluten free aren't. it's difficult to tell if its education issue or not. i ate a salad that was okay but it was my 4th choice. was told corn grits are not gf.
I like to come to Zea for their grilled fish and the grits. Their grits are outstanding! I don't know why they are not on the GF menu but I've inquired and they have no flour. A reviewer for a different location was disappointed in the limited selection on their gluten free menu. True, the regular menu is much bigger but the GF menu is ok as well. The seasoned fish is flavorful. Fresh side veggies too. Baried salads and a shrimp lettuce wrap appetizer are good. They also have a two-for-one happy hour M-W as well as $5 drink specials Th/Fr and others on the weekend.
It's a little hard to tell from the menu what is GF (some GF things are marked, others aren't, like the corn grits ) but our server was very knowledgeable and didn't mind me asking a million questions. The meal was excellent and even included chocolate torte. I'm very sensitive and had no trouble.
I ordered the balsamic salmon. It was almost completely raw and without the balsamic vinegar. It's like they only half-prepared my meal. The food was mediocre for the expensive price. To top it all off, I definitely got contaminated.
