Such a great local spot. This is a must visit! The wait was incredibly long but we’ll worth it. Everything was lightly fried. We got the mahi-mahi, shrimp, fries and plantains. Felt great after and the view was perfection. Highly recommend!

So delighted to find that they don’t use any dairy when coating in cornmeal batter for deep frying. I am gluten and dairy allergic. We had Mahi Mahi, shrimp, fries and plantains. By far the best meal we have had in Aruba since we got here! And the view!! So breathtaking! If you have the chance to check Zeerover out I absolutely recommend it

Delicious, local, and safe for celiacs! All fish is fried in cornmeal so there is no cross contamination with any gluten in the fryers. This means the fries are safe and are deliciously seasoned!! Such a cool place to eat with lots of wildlife and very affordable. For a family of 6 with big eaters it was about $50 USD. Must go for all!

I have an allergy to shrimp (which they sell) and my mom and husband and I are all celiacs. We were all safe. They have a separate fryer for fries and for fish and for shrimp (3 separate fryers). Lady said “oh yeah we don’t cross them. People have bad allergies.” When the food came out they put the fish and fries in the same basket and the shrimp in a separate basket so I didn’t have to worry about my shrimp allergy. Everyone ate and was happy. Didn’t have plantains. They had three fresh caught fish choices today (can vary depending). I had Baracuda and fries. Awesome! Mom had shrimp and said it was great. It’s a local place with fair pricing and good safe food. Locals go there and it’s popular. Closed on Mondays. Views of the ocean and all seats are outdoor (some covered from sun). Expect to be hot (no air) and a wait in line to order and pay. Then you get a number to put at a table. It’s like going to a food truck gone restaurant. Truly local.

Very fun experience minus the 30 min wait/line to order. Worth it. Stand in line to order then pay at the next window then drinks at the next window then sit and they bring your food to you. Waited 30 min to order and about another 30 to get out food. Got there at 2:30pm on a Friday. My husband and kid went to get drinks and find a table close to the water while I waited in the food line. Super simple menu, see photos. We paid $25USD for three fish, 7 shrimp, two orders of fries and a tarter sauce. That was for me, husband and 7-year old daughter and was a good amount. We ate it all but were quite full. The shrimp are large. You have to peel them yourself. The fish type changes daily depending on what they get that day. Ours was mahi-mahi. Just skin on the edge but they still had bones in them but was really flaky and delicious, not too much work to eat. There are three dryers- one for the fish, one for the shrimp and one for the fries all next to each other. Didn’t seem that the corn bread was anywhere near food at any time. We thought compared to most restaurants where you get seafood it was a good value and fun atmosphere. They have beer, wine and sodas. The only item with gluten is the corn bread. They also bring out a papaya hot sauce which says contains wheat on the jar so avoid that. They serve with lime wedges, ketchup and mayo packets. They have home made fruit popsicles for $2 which helps the kids with the wait. Recommend after leaving Baby Beach (where the snorkeling was amazing) as it’s on the way back to the city and hotel areas.

This was my first time ever trying fish. I was very scared! Literally everything is flash fried right in front of you! Nothing but the fish and fries go in the fryer! (YES THE FRIES ARE GF!) I had Mahi Mahi, French fries and plantains! My husband got tuna, shrimp and fries! Literally so good! And their ice pops are to die for!!! Super safe and incredible spot to see!

It was worth the 30 min wait. We arrived at typical rush hour (sat. 18:30). Very simple food, but very delicious. And guaranteed gluten-free. Not wheat in the fryers due to bread crumb. Only the cornbread probably contains gluten, but it is well packed and separated from the other servings. Combined with the setting and scenery: a must do for everyone. With or without gluten intolerance. ;-)

Absolutely loved this place. Everything is deep fried, but nothing is breaded. Fish, shrimp, fries and plantains are all gluten free... and delicious. Cheapest meal we’ve had on the island thus far and probably my favorite!

Best find on the island! Everything is fried but nothing is breaded. The only thing we weren’t sure about was the corn bread but thats made separately so I didn’t eat it just in case. Make sure to bring cash though - they only take florin or American dollars (no credit cards).

Awesome local hole in the wall. They do fresh fish and shrimp. The fish is whatever they caught that day, the restaurant is on the docks so the fishermen bring their catch right to the restaurant. You go to the register and they weight the fish or shrimp you want and charge you by the pound. It's then deep fried (not breaded and they don't fry anything breaded in the fryers) and brought to your table in a bucket. Super casual, fun spot on the water with amazing fish where you can hang with the locals.
