I eat here semi regularly. Some of the dishes which were previously GF no longer are, but GF is clearly marked on the menu. I’ve only ever ordered rice as a base, I’ve been asked at ordering if my request for GF was an allergy & they’ve used clean woks. I haven’t been sick eating here.
I love wok box. They mark what is gluten free on the menu. In this location the kitchen area is open so you see the whole show: each person’s meal is cooked in a wok station. If you ask for gluten free they clean the wok so you know you have your own spot. It is a chain, so things seem to come pre packaged - no chance of cross contamination during prep. Lots of tasty options, I’ve tried them all and eaten here many times, always felt good after!
Sadly I won’t be back. Thought I would give it a try last weekend and it was very busy. I ordered the Beef Bulgogi on rice which should have been gf on the menu, I ordered it gluten free and nothing was typed in indicating measures to be taken. I assume what got me was cross contamination because it didn’t look like they cleaned between customers. Service was alright. Facility was quite dirty though unfortunately.
The staff are very accommodating for someone with celiac disease, every thing is cleaned properly and take out orders are packaged in a separate bag to avoid cross-contact. If you tell them there is an order for a celiac, it is marked on the takeout box and there are more options than just rice as part of the order.
Very friendly and knowledgeable. They have dedicated kitchen utensils and woks to accommodate Gluten free meals.
Some staff have little to no knowledge of what gluten is. I explained to them I’m celiac and cannot have gluten, doubled checked everything I was getting was gf to which they said yes. The next time my mom was ordering for me and she ended up having to ask the manager because the other workers didn’t know what was gf. Found out the dish I got that I thought was gf was not.
I was really excited to try this place. I had high hopes when I ordered and was told my dish would be in a 'gluten free' wok. Unfortunately, my rice noodles had a few chow mein noodles mixed in with them in error, complete with their wheat-filled gluten. I was very ill all night long and I had only had a few bites. I do not recommend this place. Eat at your own risk.
They're usually great!!
Fast! Fresh! And so many options!
Faster food pan-Asian noodles and rice. Allergen list clearly posted. Had the pad-thai which was tasty, but nothing to write home about. Cross- contamination a definite possibility, eat with caution. I had no issues but I was there late at night and the chef had largely cleaned up the kitchen.
I only had the soup but they do have a few options for gluten free
