A “go-to” place for me - food is good and if you ask, they will mark the ticket “wheat allergy” to notify the kitchen to be careful of cross contamination.

Really great taco! I got the Mexico street Sirloin on a corn tortilla and it was delicious. I told them I had a severe gluten allergy and they seemed to understand. I haven’t gotten sick since eating it hours ago.

I love eating at Taco Deli. I eat here often and NEVER get sick as a result. Everything is fresh and tasty. You have to order your taco on a corn tortilla but that the only caution you have to take. The queso is really, really good and they only have gf that chips come in a bag for everyone. My favorite for breakfast is the Otto. Update: I love the Sopa!
If I could give a zero I would. DO NOT EAT HERE. Ordered a taco on a corn tortilla and even specified gf and they still gave me a flour tortilla. Do not care about allergies at all and their stuff is not knowledgeable. If you don’t want to be sick right before your flight DO NOT GO HERE!!
I had the Akaushi Picadillo on a corn tortilla. My daughter has a dairy allergy and had the Cowboy without the queso. None of the tortillas or sauces have dairy if that is an issue for you. Fabulous and filling!
I came here in 2019 and me and my sister were thrilled to fine GF food at an airport. We didn’t get sick and we loved the food.
I was back at this airport recently and went by. I was clear about my needs but the woman who took my order didn’t seem to pay much attention. Nevertheless, I was starving and ordered a couple tacos. They were great and I didn’t get sick!
Tacodeli is one of my go-tos! I am very sensitive and have never reacted there when I tell them I have an allergy - pretty much everything is GF with a corn tortilla.
The airport location can take care of you just like the other taco deli locations. Everything is gluten-free if you order corn tortillas. Bypass the ordering machines and talk to the cashier. They can make sure the folks preparing the food take precautions like changing gloves. Good tacos!
They are very aware of gluten allergies, stated on their menus and the cashier didn't even blink an eye when I said celiac. She even told the cooks directly, rather than relying on a screen or paper to create the order. I've gone back several times now, have never gotten sick, and have always thoroughly enjoyed the food.
We used to come here all the time with no issues, but the last two times I have eaten here, I've gotten incredibly sick. We ordered online, and clearly marked gluten as an allergy for each item, but there must have been some cross contamination somewhere.
im not sure whether they’ve changed their policy or what, considering the great reviews, but they told us the surface was shared with the flour tortillas and there was no way they could wipe it for us or use a separate tray. really disappointing.
Almost the entire menu is gluten free if you order it on a corn tortilla. They will also mark your order with your allergy. The Otto taco is my favorite taco ever!!
What a pleasant gluten free surprise! Took our daughter here, everything on the menu except the flour tortillas and desserts is gluten free. I even thought it was better than Torchy’s, actually. Margs were amazing too, strong and not too sweet. What a win!

Food was good and I did not get sick, but the girl at the register did not know what menu items were gluten free and had to consult a manager. I believe I got the cowboy on a corn tortilla.

Yum! They have the best corn tortillas, they don’t fall apart and remind me of the flour tortillas I so dearly miss with having celiac disease. Mention you have celiac and they’ll mark “wheat allergy” on your order. Chips for queso are prepackaged. Queso was yummy & they have 4 hot sauce options which are all great. The bean and cheese taco is fantastic!!
I have severe celiacs and was thinking I would probably just have to get snacks at the small shops. I saw this place and decided to shoot my shot and see if they have gf options that are safe. The salads are extremely safe as are the chips and queso! I’m so happy with the food! It’s delicious and fresh.

This is an Austin-only taco shop with a few locations around town. There is an allergy chart you can google that shows you what ingredients are in each taco. Search “Tacodeli gluten free”. Basically everything on the menu can be GF with corn tortillas! No GF exclusive kitchen but they will prep/keep your corn tortillas separate if you notify them of the allergy. The staff is knowledgeable about gluten and I’ve never had an issue here. It is a popular place but the line moves quickly. Order online in advance if you can.
My favorites are the breakfast tacos! I love the Otto or bacon, egg, and cheese on corn Also has veg/vegan options.
Oh and the green Doña sauce is amazing! Very spicy but so great. I like to buy it by the pint.
I go here all the time and I’ve never once had a reaction. I tell them that I have celiac and they mark it on my order. They have seperste food prep areas for flour vs corn tortillas and all of the salsas are gf
You can indicate gluten-free on individual tacos on online orders. There is no way to indicate for a family pack order, but if you order online and call the restaurant, they will mark it for you. The staff are trained to change gloves for orders when you specify celiacs. And all of their foods are gluten-free with the exception of flour tortillas.
I went to the new Slaughter location, but was so impressed! They seem to understand and take extra precautions when I told them I needed gluten free because of celiac. The chips are bagged, and my food came out in its own separate bag instead of in a tray, to make extra sure it wouldn’t touch anything with gluten. Although, except for flour tortillas, very little has gluten in it.
The frontida frontera taco is fantastic!

The only breakfast tacos are premade with flour. When I asked if they could do anything besides breakfast tacos before lunch and they said I could have a brisket sandwich.
Nearly all meats are gluten free; chips and corn tortillas are safe, but let the staff know you are Celiac. They’re well-informed and can make recommendations. A lot to choose from. Good, fresh and affordable.

I have eaten here many many times, no issues ever. The entire menu is gluten free as long as you don't order flour tortillas. When ordering tell them you have a "gluten allergy" they will take all precautions and bag the tacos separately. I asked about a specialty taco one time, and the worker went to double check. His mom was a celiac, so he respected the importance of gluten free. I would give taco deli 10 stars if I could.

I quizzed them about it being gluten-free and they assured me that they would not cook the tortillas on a contaminant the surface. I still got glutened. It wasn’t too bad but I will not go back.
Everything is gluten-free except for flour tortillas. The pork taco was good. The steak taco was bland. Gave it 4 stars because I asked for no cheese and they messed that up.
Love it all! The only non GF items are their flour tortillas.
Update July 2021: Was majorly glutened here. Even after stating my celiac allergy they brought out my tacos with flour tortillas. They look very similar to corn tortillas so I didn’t catch it until after I’d eaten 2. A major screw up for the 1st time.
When mentioning gluten free they automatically know to use corn tortillas instead. Breakfast tacos were delicious and reasonable for an airport.
Prior review: Have eaten here twice in past 2 weeks with no problems/reaction. Most items on menu are or can be made GF. Exceptional staff training, good marking of allergy order. Awesome tacos with refried black beans. I highly recommend. Update: I have eaten here every 2 or 3 months for past 3 years and haven’t had any problems; great tacos!
I loved Taco Deli! I got the Papadulce taco on a corn tortilla and the chips and queso were amazing. Definitely going back. The server made me feel confident that I would not get cross contaminated and I didn't even need to explain myself.
I am a regular at this location and never had issues until recently. I always tell them I have a gluten allergy and that usually is all I need to do. I am not having cross-contamination issues depending on who is working besides some days I am fine. I just can’t trust this location now. Be careful if you are sensitive and maybe I need to ask them to change gloves now.
I eat at TacoDeli weekly (sometimes daily) and have never had any issues. I do have Celiac.
We went by there today in a whim. All the ingredients for the tacos is gluten free. The only thing not gluten free is the flour tortillas and a few prepackaged desserts (cookies). It was so good! I will def be back!
