We haven’t eaten here in awhile so tried it several nights ago. Service was very good and the waitress willingly checked several items to be certain they were GF. The prime rib (available on Fridays) was but the mashed potatoes were not - flour added to thicken.
The food is average in my opinion but given the dearth of GF options in this part of town, it’s an important restaurant for lunch or dinner.

They have a separate GF menu. It is somewhat limited but still plenty of choices. Food was great. And I had no sickness afterwards.

The food tasted good going down but sick and bloated within hours. There’s no way this place serves safe and/or gluten free food for celiacs.

I should have heeded the prior warnings. I ordered off of the gf menu- chicken, brisket, cole slaw, and potato salad - all of which sound pretty safe but now I'm sick. The only thing I enjoyed was the chicken. There are better, safer bbq options in town, I'd suggest going to one of those.

They were able to accommodate gluten free, but their food was mediocre at best. Same goes for their mango margarita. Like other reviewers said, go elsewhere - there's much better options in the area. One thing going for this place is they are super fast.
Yes
Had the smoked chicken, beans and potato salad. 4 hours later and I'm bloated and severe nausea. Waitress seemed very knowledgeable though.
They have a gluten free menu which helps you be reassured that their meats and BBQ sauce are all gluten free. HOWEVER, almost immediately after chatting with the waiter he brought out a salad with croutons on it. We notified him of the issue and he gave us a replacement. The new plate seemed to have crumbs on it. It was obvious he wasn’t taking the allergy seriously. My husband (celiac) skipped the salad just to be safe.
No
Good bbq and the cole slaw was great! I had the chicken and brisket 2 meat combo.
Yes
Incredibly mediocre food. Seemed perfect safe, but there is better food to be found on the Riverwalk.
Yes
It was an okay meal and nice they had the list of gluten free options on their website. The service was good, but the food was just pretty average in my opinion. Brisket and chicken were a little on the dry side for me. Coleslaw was good and beans were a little bland.
Had a great meal, sausage appetizer then briscuit with beans and coleslaw. Food was delicious and service was fast.
They have a GF menu that offers several good choices including brisket, sausage, chicken, beef ribs. The white meat chicken was a bit dry. The only sides that are GF are potato salad, coleslaw and beans. The potato salad is amazing.
Yes
Decent gf selections, but their"safe" to eat menu is dated July 2011, so I asked about a couple of other things that turned out to be okay, as well. Since it was lunch, I chose a salad. It was delivered, and I began cutting the grilled chicken. Just before taking the first bite, I realized I had been looking at croutons. They took it back without a problem, but when the server returned with the new, she said she pointed out to the kitchen staff whereshe indicated gluten issues. The response was, "We didn't know croutons had gluten." Didn't give me the warm fuzzies, but I had no problems with the food. My recommendation is just to be extra careful here.
Knowledgeable staff and excellent food. Good variety of BBQ for Celiac sufferers.
I got glutened at County Line yesterday at Bee Caves Rd Austin. I think it was the BBQ sauce. Yes they do have a separate gluten free menu. I made the mistake of having a little of the BBQ sauce which I asked for on the side. I'm pretty sure that's what did it.
Never been glutened. Eaten here about 6 times. We get the brisket, sausage, coleslaw, and potato salad.
$$ The $ is misleading. Food is okay. kids meal is $8.
Great GF options. Very delicious. Wait staff very informative.
Food was ok. Nothing special and definitely better out there. I have gluten intolerance and although chose items that are noted as being gluten free on their website I still was sick that night.

They have a gluten free menu and the staff is very helpful when ordering.
Yes
GF menu has lots of options.
Wife has celiac disease. Ate here a few times with no incident.
Yes
Big gf menu but I got sick due to the acidity of the sauce.
There's much better barbecue in San Antonio than County Line. The brisket was dry. The potato salad was average. Not sure if the sausage is gluten free or not.
Good food but not safe for people with celiac disease. Ate there a few time and got sick every single time. If you have celiac disease stay away.
First trip to San Antonio, recently diagnosed Celiac, found this place with a GF menu, all is well , right? Quite a list of GF selections. Food was hit or miss. Grilled Buffalo Wings were meaty and well flavored. I proceeded with the 2 meat platter, I was half right. The sausage had a nice smoky pop to it. The beef rib ($4 upcharge) was chewy and not BBQed nearly enough. I don't mind the fat that comes along with a beef rib, but it should be cooked long enough so that it practically melts, not the case here with a stringy chunk of cow. GF sides were potato salad (nicely seasoned with fresh dill but a bit salty) and a typical cole slaw. On a side note, waited nearly an hour for the check because the printer was down. It took that long to manually add 3 items on a piece of paper and hand it to me. It took me 49 years of life to make it to Texas, so if I ever get back here I wouldn't hesitate to eat somewhere else!
Had a safe, delicious meal this weekend. Can't wait to go back.
They have a gluten free menu that's got several choices on it. Always a favorite for me to go to when down here.
Pretty good sized gf menu: brisket, chicken, beef, baby back, & St. Louis ribs, and sausage. The meat was pretty dry though :( They also have steaks, fish, and burgers with several sides. Ask for their gf menu.
Yes
got the brisket, sausage, and beans. Very yummy.
They have a gluten-free advising list but it conflicts with their allergen list. I got the appetizer plate of a 1/2 lb sausage. All the food there is very tasty but the allergen list says to avoid the pork dishes.
Lots of great GF options. No menu but the waiter was informative.
Tough meat on ribs and flavor-less sausage.. And the BBQ sauce tasted like oranges.. The only saving grace was the turkey.
Great beef and chicken cooked perfectly! Friendy staff & reasonable prices. And beautiful sunset view!
Pretty good experience. They had a gluten-free menu available with several options.
