I went here based on positive reviews on this site. I am so glad we ate here! I had a delicious hot corned beef sandwich with fries. And even though there's no gluten-free menu, our waitress was excellent and told me that they know what to do and I would be fine. There is even a dedicated fryer. She was right. I will certainly be back! I react very violently to gluten as I have celiac and I was just fine!

Very nice wait staff had a list of allergen options and told us they offer a gf bun, kind of like a brioche. They also have separate designated fryer!

Ate here for the first time since going gluten free. According to our server, there is a gluten free bun available. However, I went with wings and cheese fries. The wings are a rip off - they are teeny tiny! And expensive. Almost $9 for five tiny wings with barely any meat. If you are sensitive to cross contamination I would avoid.

If you ask, they’ll give you a menu that lists the allergens each dish contains, including wheat. The sandwiches are all listed as containing wheat, but they do offer GF buns. My bun didn’t seem to be toasted.

I second the last review - after I let them know it was an “allergy,” they told me they toss flour items into the French fry fryer that is supposed to be gf when busy, and they don’t change the oil daily (so even if they hadn’t done it during their shift, it could’ve happened the previous night) However, when I’m in the area and am desperate, I have stopped in if they’re not too busy and asked if they happened to have changed the oil during the current shift and are confident that there has not been any contamination, and I’ve eaten the fries when that’s the case. At the very least, staff tend to know what they’re talking about, and they do have gf bread.

Had a lovely pastrami and cheese sandwich in a gluten free roll. I asked a few times about the dedicated fryer and was repeatedly told that it was. I am coeliac so I would have known if there was any CC within an hour but had no issues. I was worried after reading some of the reviews but my experience was all positive.

DO NOT GO HERE! They say that there is a gluten-free fryer, but when pressed, they stated that when they are busy they will fry anything (gluten stuff) in that fryer. They did not disclose this until I pushed. No staff seemed knowledgeable about celiac.

Any sandwich or burger can be made on a gluten free bun. I have been here numerous times but the fries are no longer in a dedicated fryer. Staff is knowledgeable on Celiac Disease versus preference.

I couldn’t have anything it was horrible. I was there with a big group and despite the fact that is was freezing, everyone else had pizza and sing like I wanted, and I had a salad and couldn’t have the croutons. I also could have had a burger and taken off the bun if the meat was gf and not in oil I can’t have, or breaded.

No gf options available here, per the waitress. I got 2 pickles and 2 drinks while the rest of my party was eating delicious looking sandwiches
Drinks were pretty good, the pickles are big and bloody Mary spicy.

Great experience. Our server was very knowledgeable on their gluten free options and cross contamination. They do not have a gluten free menu but do use a separate fryer for their fries and have very good gluten free buns.

Big sandwiches with GF bread and fries in dedicated “fries-only” (and therefore GF) fryer. Cider on-tap too. Server knew about gluten. Fast service and good prices. Highly recommend!

I went here because this site said they have gluten free options, even if not indicted on menu.
There are no gluten free markings or anything that seems truly gluten free, except maybe a few salads. I asked the server and they do have gluten free bread and buns, plus a gluten free separate fryer, but you have to know to ask the server.

Went on a Sunday night and it was very busy. Ordered the ham and cheese on GF roll. They served it on non - GF white bread by mistake but quickly remade the sandwich. Sandwich came with fries (cooked in its own fryer) and coleslaw which were also gluten free. Sandwich was good, the fries were a bit soggy but still good. Coleslaw was also good. Would go back again

Called ahead . Was told could get a bun and a salad that would be gf . French fries also. Manager couldn’t guarantee any meat to be gluten free. So I guess if want a salad and a bun , with no meat , it’s ok 🤷♀

March 14, 2022. They have GF buns and a dedicated French fry fryer. Therefore, you can have a 'real' Primanti sandwich. Both the bone in and boneless wings are lightly breaded and therefore not safe to eat. They are fried in a different fryer than the fries. Staff was very informative about GF options.

I have been waiting for years for a primantis sandwich and I was not disappointed!! The sandwiches are served on gluten free buns instead of bread, but the bun is big, soft and delicious. It's chewy and mimics 'normal' bread. The server told me that the fries are in a separate fryer also. I am not celiac, but I did feel comfortable here. I would imagine however there is cross contamination possibility due to the white bread/fried items being around. I would definitely recommend primantis if you are craving a delicious gluten free sandwich!

The fries and tots are always done in a dedicated fryer. Most of the sandwiches and burgers can be done gf either without a bun or with a gf bun. We got the BLT tots which were SO CRISPY! And I got the when piggys fly sandwich without a bun... absolutely delicious!

Decent sized GF menu, though helpful to have both menus in front of you for descriptions. Finally able to get some GF fries - the Smallman Street Fries were amazing!
Yes
They have a separate fryer for French fries (I asked), and many GF options, including a GF menu. Most options are just a bun-less sandwich, but the grilled chicken and steak salad are delicious.

This place is a perfect place for celiac-friendly pub food! The nachos are baked. The manager even came to the table to show me to label to the queso they use! The waitress was very attentive and definitely took my allergy seriously. They serve almost all of their sandwiches without a bun and only fries are cooked in the fryer, so they are gluten free! Yum!
Yes
Fries are fried in their in fryer in a separate kitchen area. Ranch and nacho cheese sauce are also gluten free. Delicious!
Yes
One of the only places in Erie to get gluten-free fries. Most sandwiches can be GF if ordered bunless. GF chili. Great service.
No GF options so not worth going to if you are Celiac.

Very poor. The Hamburg had filler and they didn't tell us until I took the bite. Would not recommend this place. Waiter had no clue

Not really a "go to" place for GF, but I wanted to give a report since it is popular and many GF diners might find themselves here with family and friends. Fries are NOT GF (shared oil). Many sandwiches are GF if you skip the bread. I brought my own GF bun and was shocked when the server actually took it back to the kitchen and they used it to make my sandwich!! It was delicious and I did not get sick!
