Decent variety of gluten free brands.
As it says on the description, this is a grocery store, but I wish they replaced the Katz sugar glazed raised donuts with the Katz chocolate donuts that have the granulated sugar like they used to have. They also carry gluten free Oat bread which is very good! It's also the only place in the area that still carries Glutino Tablets and crackers in the small box.
Went looking for a GF meal I could reheat in our hotel room and wasn't able to find anything. More than half the freezers were empty and there was little variety even for ready made non-GF meals.
Recently updated store has TONS of GF options. I used to have to bring almost everything from home but not anymore. Great selection
This grocery has educated people in the deli which serves Boar's Head meats and cheeses. I purchased pre-packahed items since there was a long line to wait for freshly cut. I've had no reaction. Obviously, as a store, they do have other gf items like Schar bread, some snack foods, as well as standard groceries.
Amazing GF aisle! They have an excellent GF frozen section too. There are other GF groceries (cookies, crackers, mac and cheese) throughout the other aisles as well, you just have to look for it!
They have a dedicated Gluten free section on the shelf and in the freezer. They have other GF options spread out throughout the store.
However, they do not have many gluten free foods that I know are available at other Stop and Shops in the region, and that's really frustrating. They could have a wider variety as well.
Has some items gluten-free, but must search them out in the supermarket. Some are refrigerated some are not.
This supermarket has a great selection of Gluten free products. I have no problem finding what I need.
They have a fair amount of GF items available here and was able to do all of my grocery shopping here for the week I found all of my GF options that I required so didn’t need to go to the bigger stop and shop a little ways out or any other another store.

This location just expanded the GF section! Great options for bread, baking, and snacks. There are also GF items available throughout the aisles as well. Be sure to check out the bakery section where they have bagels and cupcakes/cookies. They also have a frozen section with bread and other products!
They have a good selection of GF foods and brands to choose from. I love stopping here when visiting my family in the area.

This is a grocery store with a large selection of GF products. It isn’t a restaurant.
They have recently put shelf tags with GLUTEN FREE in an orange circle on items throughout the store! Makes it so much easier to find the Gf options in every section- not just the Gluten Free aisle.
Some gluten free options. They have breads, pizzas, pretzels, etc. They have some boxed baked goods as well, none in the bakery though that is precooked (as far as I know). They do not have a wide variety though. They do not carry any of the gluten free feel good food items — which are the best gluten free frozen food preparations. Big y tends to have better selection in all categories. Big y on memorial drive has the best gluten free selection around besides Whole Foods. Big y has gluten free bakery options. Also, sometimes at this stop n shop location I find non gluten free foods in the gluten free section, so be careful.
Great selection of gluten free items! Fruits and veggies always look fresh. Some of my go tos are the Organic grilled chicken strips, natures promise hummus, Aqua Vitea kombucha,yasso ice cream bars,nada moo ice cream,siete tortillas and chips, odoughs bagel thins,dr.pragers brocolli bites, Amy brocolli and cheedar bake,calipower pizza and rhythm califlower bites
This is a great local grocery store with lots of GF options and union labor. Our current go-to.
The bakery has a few gluten free items, cupcakes and cookies are about it but they place other items on the table so read it carefully. As for other items, they have one aisle which has gluten free but they don’t highlight it . The only section that actually highlights gluten free is the yogurt section. Excellent marking as to what’s gluten free and what’s not. For that reason, I gave it two stars
This place is very good and they have a whole celiac friendly aisle.
Store is always dirty and it smells! Not enough staff, meat has been restickered over the sell by date. Save your self the aggravation of having to return meats, go to Route 6a Sandwich store!
They have huge sections of gluten free items that are well stored and a big variety of items
Best selection of gluten free items in the area. Hamburger buns, hot dog buns, cookies, pizza, pasta they have it all.
A clearly defined gluten free selection... keep an eye out for the official GF seal of approval for celiacs
This for the Stop and Shop in Vernon CT. This used to be a great place to get GF products. Everything was located in one dedicated section and the selection was extensive. Someone in management decided to scrap this concept. I asked the manager (on 6/18/18) why and he said it was a decision from "corporate" so this may be coming to all of the chain!
Now everything (except the frozen goods) is mixed in with the non GF food and as best as I could tell the amount of GF is considerably less. For example, I looked for Snyder's GF pretzels. There dozens of non GF and only one GF. The frozen GF is separate but the selection is 1/3 of what it used to be. SO YESTERDAY WAS THE LAST DAY I WILL GO INTO THE STORE. Not just for GF but for anything else.
Recently moved to the area, had always shopped at the Stop and Shop on Fenn Road in Newington and they carried more certified GF then I could dream of, possibly because of competing with Whole Foods. Naturally I brought my business to this old Saybrook Stop and Shop when I moved and it’s lack luster to say the least. Sure they have a selection, but it’s no where near as great as Central Connecticut.
There’s an entire aisle with a few freezers dedicated to gluten free items, and they have a lot of different brands, which was really nice to see. Definitely more options that the Shaw’s in the area.
Good variety of gluten free foods, cookies, bagels, frozen chicken tenders, etc. Some items like gluten free flour was pricey, though.
Great place to shop for gluten free food. All meats in the deli department are Gluten Free!! There is a small area to the side of the produce department that has tons of gluten free products - reasonably priced.
visiting from Florida and in FL I usually have to go to 3 different stores to get all of the GF and df things I need but stop and shop had everything all in one place. was pleasantly suprised.
This location seems to have a bigger GF selection than the Lake Ave one.
I use Peapod delivery service and get so many great GF finds from Stop & Shop!
this is my gluten free go to supermarket. plenty of options in gluten free section and throughout store at reasonable prices and many specials at times.
Lots of GF options and folks at the deli counter are pretty helpful.
It actually has solid gluten free options. Better than any other grocery store in LB.
