Was driving home from Detroit to Ottawa in July and hopped off the 401 to drive into the heart of London to make a point of going here. Fantastic food here and most of the menu is GF.

Burrito Boyz has always been awesome about my Gluten Free orders. I have never had any issues when ordering from this location, and it’s greatly appreciated!

The food is not good. If the word burrito leads you to believe in a flavor profile reminiscent Mexican, Tex Mex or literally any type of American Mexican food including Chipotle you will be very disappointed. Its bad. Expect something as if a person who was familiar with Mexican inspired food described it to someone who’s never heard of Mexico. They do have a nice gluten chart on their website including fryer contamination

My celiac kids have eaten here 20+ times with no issues. There are only a few items on the menu that have gluten in them. Staff has been very knowledgeable. Note that if ordering from their website the Pulled pork burrito says its gluten free but the pulled pork is not. It has a Disclaimer on the website to call the store for any allergies and that's when they told us. So just don't order that and call to double check that everything you wanted is safe.

Lots of options, allergy sheet, gluten friendly tortillas, and delicious! Have not been glutened here and I've ordered several times
Edit: Got glutened the last couple times. :c

Took my wife here knowing that their ability to help people with celiac really is owner dependent. When she mentioned that she had celiac, the manger went into action. Pulled out fresh veggies for the bowl. Scooped beans from a new container - first time in years she got beans. This location understands cross contamination and helps you out ... at least that shift did.

The naked burrito is an amazing, very large portion meal without the normal GF mark up. Multiple members in my immediate family are celiac and it is an affordable meal where everyone in the family can get exactly what they want.

I’ve trusted this place since my diagnosis, but they lost my trust today. I watched them making standard burritos, and the staff would grab a flour tortilla, then stick the same (gloved) hand into the toppings, put that on the flour tortilla then grab the next toppings by hand etc down the line. 100% cross contamination happening right in front of me as I left with my “gluten free” burrito. I’m devastated to say I won’t be back.

While they have gluten-free options available this location does not understand cross contamination.

I order from this location often and have always been impressed with the way they handle celiac. I’ve gone in to pick up my order before and watched the staff person preparing my meal. She changed her gloves and went slowly to ensure no cross-contamination and pulled all toppings fresh from under the counter. It was actually touching how much she cared, and how much she informed the other employees about the order she was preparing.

I have had great experience at other Burrito Boys, but unfortunately this location isn’t safe. They touch the spoon they use for the beans directly to the wheat tortillas to spread the beans and put it back. It is fully spread not even a quick touch to it. This is the second time I’ve seen it here. Other locations use different utensils or fresh beans. Don’t do it!

I walked in and had a lovely chat with their staff who were surprisingly very knowledgeable about Celiac Disease and explained that they take all the precautions to mitigate cross-contamination. I understand staff aren’t always the same at chains, but the staff in today were unreal. They changed gloves, had dedicated utensils, put the gluten-free burrito on a new strip of tin foil and then that went on a dedicated pan when putting on the toppings, and when they heated the burrito on the cooktop it stayed on the tin foil (the burrito did not touch the grill). All of their toppings are listed gluten free and wheat free, and the gluten-containing burritos don’t touch the counter where toppings are served (they are placed in a separate dedicated pan), so they’re also mitigating cross-contamination near the toppings area. The protein options listed gluten free and wheat free are cooked in a separate wok that gluten-containing proteins are not cooked in. Without me even bringing it up, the staff told me that I couldn’t have anything from the deep fryer since they said things with gluten go in there (loved how knowledgeable they were!!!). I asked so many questions and they answered all of them confidently with a smile on their faces… it was wonderful. I ended up getting a gluten free burrito with steak, salsa, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, green and red onions, bell pepper and cilantro - it was unreal tasty!!! Of course my burrito fell apart haha - being the gluten free wrap - but I didn’t care one bit! Sooo good. Nice to have a healthy fast-food option, especially here in London.

Cool place with good prices, but cross contamination is likely (no change of gloves).
Can't recommend for celiacs.

They were well aware of celiac, they immediately changed their gloves, used new guacamole and changed utensils. Everyone was very carefully handling my food, when it was put on the grill it was wrapped in the foil. I had a great experience and felt very safe. Make sure to check the allergen list example the pulled pork has gluten.

Just opened, very clean and super on top of GF options including a list of things you can request to ensure you're safe (ie. New gloves, different toppings not exposed to anything, etc). All proteins except the Soy are GF and it's by far the best burrito bowl in town.
Ownership is very friendly and portions are well worth the dough.

Gluten free wraps available so you can actually get a burrito not just a bowl! They took it extremely seriously and saw the switching of gloves to make mine. Also the wrap never touched the shared grill, they placed it on a tin foil. Highly recommend and felt very safe!

Always aware of what their products contain and make every effort to prevent cross contamination.
Gluten free burrito wrap is amazing. Burrito bowls always gluten free by nature (no wrap). Toppings and sauces as well as meat are all gluten free too! Chips are in a fryer that is not dedicated gluten free however I’ve had them many times and never had a reaction

Just got glutened from there so maybe cross contamination or GF friendly not actual GF ?
Gluten free tortillas for burritos! When ordering make sure that you state that you have a wheat allergy and/or are celiac... by doing so they take extra care to ensure there is no cross contamination (change gloves, use new un contaminated toppings, grill the tortilla wrapped up, etc.)
Be careful of their cheese, it has wheat powder on it to prevent clumping...
Yes
I am a very sensitive celiac and have been to this location 10+ times without a problem. They have gluten free wraps and ask if it is for an allergy. The owner always does my order from start to finish. He will replace the utensils and get new toppings for my burrito from the fridge below. They also grill your burrito on tin foil so there is no cross contamination on the grill. They’re diligent to change their gloves and wash their hands throughout the process. I love going here and never worry about getting sick! Definitely recommend this location!!
Yes
My husband goes here frequently, and says the staff are very knowledgeable.
Yes
Best handling of gluten free I’ve seen! Clean pair of gloves with each guest, grilled on a sheet of foil to avoid cross-contamination on the grill, great communication!
Yes
Order the bowl. Knowledgeable about Celiac
Yes
One look at food handling and had to leave. Food might be awesome but I’m never know.
No
How is this place celiac friendly?! It SO IS NOT! I was sick for weeks after eating here! AND they screwed up my order! I didn’t even finish my burrito and got so sick and was in so much pain I had to leave work. I have never wanted to die so much in my life! It was terrible!
No
Very helpful, very knowledgeable and they have gluten free protocols.
Yes
Great GF and "naked" burrito options. Sign right at the counter announces their GF policy and specifically mentions celiac. Every time we've asked for GF they've washed hands and used fresh gloves. Today they caught an accidental cross-contamination (touched a flour tortilla and then the GF one) and they remade the GF burrito again from scratch. Very happy with their policies.
Yes
I'm celiac and these guys DO NOT know what they're doing. Although staff changed gloves, they used toppings and utensils that had definitely come in contact with gluten.
No
Let them know they are celiac and they will wash hands and change gloves.... Order the bowls
Great food! Knowledgeable and accommodating of celiac. Gluten free tortillas were the small kind so I would order two quesadillas instead of one next time.
Yes
Not sure how this place has 6 celiac endorsements. it is about as celiac friendly as a Subway... They change their gloves but the bins are the same that they use for the wheat wraps... It's all contaminated including their grill that they roll the wheat wraps on. If you're celiac, avoid.
No
Had an awesome gluten free burrito there. Staff were very knowledgeable about celiac and changed their gloves and wrapped the burrito in tinfoil before putting it on the grill.
Yes
Super knowledgeable staff on celiacs and gluten. They have gf tortillas but they are the small kind.

This is a great low-key dining option for celiacs. I love it and there's something for me and my boyfriend.
Yes
Best GF burrito I have ever had. They changed their gloves for me and even wrapped my burrito in tin foil twice to avoid cross contamination on the grill. Couldn't be happier with this place! It is also open late hours for late night cravings!
Yes
This restaurant offers gluten free burritos and quesadillas, including vegetarian options (e.g.,"veggie soy" which looks like taco meat). My kids were very happy. Special precautions will be taken if you make the request (see picture)
Yes
They have a nice big sign about gluten and have a poster mentioning celiac diseaseGreat burritos and bowls
Yes
great gluten free place to eat.
They have gluten free tortilla shells for burritos but that is where the gluten free ends. They are at best for gluten sensitive but not gluten free. They kept touching my tortilla after touching wheat ones. Shyer getting her to change her gloves 3 times then I pick toppings that I didn't think had touched gluten tortillas. Don't do the defied beans. Then my burrito was put on a community grill to cook with all tortilla. I asked for them to clean the grill n wear gloves. Neither of these happened. I wound up going to my van n eating peanut butter n crackers while my family ate their food. Very very disappointed. Paid for food I couldn't eat. Too upset to ask for refund
No
I love burrito Boyz! They have gluten free tortillas and trays used just for them! They also will grab other toppings if you request!
