Chicken and many sides are gluten free. The sauces contain soy so I was advised against eating them. Plenty of food. Had the chicken with rice and green beans plus maduros (sweet plantains) my son had yucca fries too.

I have food allergies, not celiac. Common food allergens list posted inside. I had white chicken without any sauces, sweet plantains, and yucca fries - all gluten free. Very yummy! When I first asked about food allergies, the worker I spoke to asked someone else just to make sure. That person came back while I was ordering just to make sure I saw the food allergy list and restated what I could and could not eat. Later, somebody came out to check on me while we were eating.

When basic is best it is as expected. Seasoned grilled chicken and various sides. It's all that is needed. The sides are small so to share, get a variety. Most of the dishes are gluten free, so you can take your pick. For 3, we had a whole chicken with the 2 sides as a combo and 3 more for choice. There were leftovers. The guys were great in helping me select and avoid the gluten. When in the area, I'll go again.

I've eaten here 3 times without issue. The fries, yucca, chicken, and green beans are safe. So are the green and yellow sauces.

Black beans and fried rice aren't GF, according to staff (shout out to Diego for warning me).

Absolutely delicious chicken and sides. Chicken is free from all of the top 10 allergens. Most of the sides are vegan. The only side that isn't GF is the beans (they use barley in the stock to make them). Rice, plaintains, yucca and the BEST green beans ever are all completely gluten free.

I got very very sick. I don't feel safe going back. The flavors were great though. Others said they tested the food and everything was ok. Maybe it was a fluke. I'm just doing the review now, but went in 2021.

Portable gluten detector tested for less than 20ppm. It was soooo good!! Maduros fritos, pollito, salad, rice. Healthy and delicious!

This place feels really safe for Celiac. Almost everything on the menu is GF, and it is all clearly marked. The way they serve, I did not see opportunity for cross contact. This is such a nice option for picking up a whole chicken and a couple sides for our family for dinner.

They have a list of what allergens are present in each dish, only things with gluten are beans and soup, some of the specials contain gluten but you may be able to order it without. The rotisserie chicken is delicious and there are plenty of sides to choose from. The fryer is not used to cook anything containing gluten. Since there are few items that do contain gluten you should be fairly safe. It doesn’t seem like their is much risk for cross contamination.

Staff did not seem extremely knowledge on GF but they had allergen menu taped to where you order. Everything is GF except black beans and a soup. Since majority of menu is gluten free, I feel contamination risk is low. The chicken, plantains, and rice were delicious!

Never had Peruvian food... it was DELICIOUS!! the guy who took my order at the front had a list of ingredients. Most items are GF! They were able to hold the onions and sauce on the chicken saltado since i am sensitive to onions too. Tasty!! The purple drink was nice.

The chicken here is absolutely delicious! They don’t put anything with gluten in the fryer so that means the fries and plantains are safe. The beans do contain gluten and are on the same line of food with everything else (similar to chipotle). I’m extremely sensitive and have eaten here several times successfully. Highly recommend getting a side of the green vinaigrette dressing too.

I absolutely love this place. Almost everything on the menu is gluten free. Their incredible charcoal chicken makes alpaca my favorite restaurant in Durham.

The food is great! Most of the items are gf like chicken, maduros, yucca fries, plain rice, and green beans. The staff is pretty knowledgeable too. My husband has celiac and very picky in where he will eat out. We had been to this location and the capitol blvd in Raleigh as well. Both times were safe and no reaction.

So many choices for gluten free options! The only things that are not gluten free from the main menu options are the black beans and the soup. The chicken is delicious and is free of all major allergens. Lots of sides including fun choices like yuca and plantains for the adventurous and fries for the more conventional. Everything was fresh, hot, and tasty!
