Dedicated GF menu. Separate fryer, and your food comes out on a green plate. if you ask will often try to make many other items gluten free off their regular menu. I love the nachos (with chicken), omletts, there's a glutenfree French toast sandwhich, eggs beneadict (though the gf bun is too thick so I'll sometimes ask to replace it with just their gf bread), and skillets. they'll also make you shredded potatoes which are by far my favorite.

Burgers can be lettuce wrapped, egg/omelette diahes, and salads can all be made gluten free. Items are not labeled on menu, but staff will work with you to adapt many dishes. Many items only served at the test kitchen location are gluten free. Tuscan chicken was very good!

The selection of gluten free food in limited. But I’m use to that! I had steak and eggs!! The steak and eggs were good! They came with shredded hash browns, which I wouldn’t recommend!! But overall not bad!!

Separate toaster, two page menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner items,GF hollandaise sauce, GF gravy, burgers, clubs, sandwiches, steaks, omelets, pancakes, Waffles... there are so many options, it's nice to have a place to safely eat. They don't butter toast because there is not a dedicated butter container, but they do provide sealed butter packs on the side.

Great place for breakfast! Very knowledgeable staff able to answer questions. Food comes out marked gluten free on different coloured plates. A-lot of gf and dairy free options. They had great pancakes and a gf, df poutine.

The food and service was great! The server definitely understood gluten free. Let me know the gf toast is toasted in the same toaster, so I passed. Clean, pleasant and safe for me. No issues. I am not Celiac, but still very sensitive to cross contamination.

I love Smitty's main st. Dartmouth. They have a dedicated prep area, g/f fryer and your food comes out on a green plate so you and your server know it is gluten free. My go to safe place to eat.

I have celiac disease and felt very safe eating here. Staff was knowledgeable. Dedicated toaster, and griddle for hash browns and eggs. Hollandaise sauce is also gluten free. Just ask your server about the options. There aren't a lot but they are there.

We stop here on our way through every year. The staff are so lovely. Leanne ( server) has a family member who is celiac. She knows the drill. They have rice toast, but she actually asked if I was ok with it going through their big industrial toaster with crumbs. She gave me fruit instead. She told me which meats were GF without me asking. They made me an excellent veggie omelette. Love this place.

They’re extremely accommodating for anyone with Celiac disease. GF menu, delicious, colour coated plates too so you can feel extra confident you’re getting GF food.

The menu suggests you ask for more details. Gluten-free pancakes, toast and shredded potatoes were all available. I had a great experience!

Great staff ! But no dedicated GF fryer ! Wife can basically only eat eggs here ! Too bad it was our go to place pre celiac:(
Asked the waitress for the gf menu. Ordered from the gf menu and the waitress came back with my salad with two slices of bread on top. The waitress said that she hadn’t told the kitchen my order was meant to be gf as in her words “I don’t even know what gf means”.
No
No dedicated kitchen or fryer. They have Gf bread, and grated hash browns. My daughter was fine after eating here!
Not a good experience. The staff are not knowledgeable (always having to check with someone) and do not have a separate menu. It would be fine to have one menu if the gf items were symbolized however it is not. Apparently an error on the new menus. Did not feel confident.... update: daughter had a massive migraine afterwards.... will not go back
Our go-to family brunch place. Lots of GF options. GF meals are served on a green plate (this location only) so everyone handling the order knows it is GF - so smart. The food is plain but tasty. Prices reasonable. I've NEVER had a contamination.
Yes
My celiac daughter had breakfast here with us and had no issues. She ordered the eggs, bacon, shredded hash, and gf toast. We appreciated that they brought here food separate to prevent contamination. For what smitty's is this was an excellent experience for her.
Have had breakfast there a few times- delicious and gluten free.
Good size gluten free menu. I had the waffle, it was delicious! Staff is nice, except the cashier guy is a little off. Pushed me for a tip.
It's been my experience with this chain that they cannot guarantee a GF meal with no cross contamination. I avoid this chain because my allergy is severe.

They have a separate gluten free menu you can ask for, and specify to the server that you don't want any cross-contamination. They are very careful with preparation and we've never gotten sick eating there.
Yes
Great place to eat. Not a dedicated gluten-free so they can't guarantee no cross-contamination, but they do try to cater to the issue.
They have a gluten free menu.
We've eaten there twice and both times the food was good. The staff seem to have some knowledge of the gluten free diet. The first time we ate there I was asked ifbI would like gluten free toast with my omelette since they had some GF bread in the kitchen. Last time I was there the server knew without having to check with the kitchen that the fried potatoes had a flour coating so I couldn't have them.
