I had the combo eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit and GF pancakes. It was very good. They had many GF options. I recommend this place to GF and Non-GF people.

I am Celiac and our waiter went to get a manager to walk me through the GF options and which ones were safer to eat to try to avoid cross contamination. They confirmed the chips and corn tortillas were confirmed gluten free. Felt very safe and taken care of!

The enchiladas were good. The gf pancakes were pretty dry. Not sure how previous comments said they were the best gf pancakes. Box gf pancakes from Walmart are better than those.

In my effort to find a gf brunch place in round rock while visiting, I saw Kerbey had gf options and went to check it out.
There are gluten free friendly options but nothing dedicated. They can’t prevent cross contamination so this is not a good place for celiacs.
Will miss the Kerbey queso

I had the most delicious GF pancakes I’ve ever had!! Their menu is clearly labeled GF throughout. Breakfast & lunch options. There was GF breakfast tacos too! A-lot of GF options. Cute location on the water and has a lovely outdoor patio overlooking the waterfall.

“GF” on their menu only means “no gluten ingredients.” They need special instructions if you have celiac. For example, one of my favorite dishes is the pan seared salmon. You need to tell them to use a separate pan for the salmon, otherwise it is cooked on the same cooktop as everything else. And substitute another vegetable for the Brussels sprouts, which are fried in the same fryer as gluten items. A manager named Sam was very helpful in letting me know the needed modifications. I assume that anything like GF pancakes also needs to be cooked separately.

April 2023: Waitress told us they were too busy to make anything actually gluten free. She said everything would be cross contaminated. We got up and left.
Nov 2022: They have lots of options and menu is clearly labeled. Hopefully you get a good server that knows how their iPad works and can put in your order correctly. Manager is very helpful!

Beware to anyone who has ANY allergies at all. This facility cannot guarantee no cross contamination on ANYTHING, even if you request to have them clean the pan and make something separate. We waited for a long time to be seated (which was totally fine), but then once we went to order we were told that they could not accommodate allergies for cross contamination for anything on the menu at all. I’ve never been to an establishment that has said that in all my life of dealing with allergies. Even though they have gluten free pancakes on the menu, you most likely can’t have them if you can’t do cross contamination. We had to get up and leave because we couldn’t eat anything. It’s incredibly misleading and disappointing.

There is not a huge selection. Do be sure to get absolute confirmation that what arrives at your table is GF. I ordered a GF sandwich and questioned the waitress if indeed the bread was GF. She said that she was sure that it was, but another waiter overheard and took a look and let me know that what was on my plate was not GF bread. I was very glad I asked for confirmation

Server seemed bothered that I was there and she was having to work. Food was definitely not worth what I was charged. I ordered egg white omelet, toast and turkey sausage. The omelet was editable, the one piece of toast was cold, there was one small piece of turkey sausage. I had to ask for a hot tea set up three times. My bill was $18.37 before tip.??

The gf options here are amazing BUT there is always cross contamination. Great option for gluten sensitive who can handle it but literally everything will make a true celiac sick here.

We had Migas with Cashew Queso. They were delicious and we felt great after eating them. We have allergies and are aware of dairy and gluten in food within a bite or two. The food was excellent!

Gluten free options are prepared in the same areas as everything else, if you are celiac do not eat here.
Asked about the pancakes and was told that if I could actually not eat gluten not to order them. Ordered eggs instead (without any flour added to the mix). Still got sick.
Service was ok, wait staff was nice. This place is extremely loud.

This is my third time getting sick at Kerbey Lane. I went to Round Rock on a girls weekend with my friends. Years ago I’d been to Kerbey Lane and got sick, but at the time I’d just been diagnosed wit CD. A few years ago I went and ordered fried items because I didn’t understand cross contamination. This time, I was sure I’d be OK because I’m knowledgeable, I advocate for myself, and I called ahead and spoke w a manager. They told me who would be working when I got there the next day so I could speak with them and they could watch my order from start to finish. After speaking with him while there, he said the only things really safe for a celiac were breakfast tacos on corn tortilla or chili pie. Since it was 8:15pm, I went with chili pie. Within an hour i was cramping. If you have CD, don’t eat here. They mean well, but nothing is actually safe.

Their gluten-free food should not be advertised. I get sick everytime I try to eat there. The waitstaff looks put-off when I tell them. They cross-contaminate all the time. Tastes like cardboard. Very unhappy. Won't go back.

Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan labeled on the menu. They also have a supplemental guide to tell you how to change other menu items to make them safe too.
Wonderful accommodating restaurant with a huge allergy-friendly menu and a very good understanding of food intolerances. And the food was so, so good! We visited three times while vacationing in the Round Rock area.

The waitstaff rolled their eyes at me (literally) on several occasions when I asked about gluten free cross-contamination prevention. They don't exercise it so it's not Celiac safe to eat at any Kerbey Lane.
Kerbey Lane is an Austin icon. That being said, it's not Celiac safe, and they've transformed from a cheap all night eatery to a borderline soulless boogie strip mall establishment where everything is overpriced and underwhelming. The attitude of the wait staff when asked about cross-contamination, etc. is flippant.

Great pancakes, awesome service, but be careful and ask questions — they have fries marked gluten free but they are made in the same fryer as everything else!
Yesterday I discovered Kirby Lane does not have a dedicated fryer for anything. Which is something they don’t advertise. So if you’re vegan or gluten free, ask a LOT of questions. They advertise fried foods as gluten free and this is a lie. A lie that made me sick.

Nice place and good gluten free options. The enchilada was delicious! Although they have put the regular pancake together with the gluten free for the first time , but they made the gluten free again for me as I requested.
Yes
They were very friendly! And have very good gluten free pancakes!

Excellent food. Safe experience.

Great experience here today, will be one of our go-to breakfast places now. I wasn’t expecting to be able to get gluten free french toast! Such a treat.
Beware! The waitress told me there is an error on their menu - something marked GF is not truly GF.
No
I love Kerby Ln gluten free enchiladas, queso and chips. I’ve eaten this dish many times and never got sick. Love the service and atmosphere too.
It's hard not to love Kerbey Lane. All of the wait staff I've encountered have been well versed in what they have available for gluten free items and it's quite a lot. They even have GF French toast!
Yes
Gf pancakes and other items labeled gf. Excellent food but difficult parking.

I used to love this place and the food is amazing if you can eat handle cross contamination but it’s not safe for my fellow celiac buddies
No
Great food and options but quite often get cross contamination so not celiac safe (pancakes for sure are not!)

Ordered gluten free pancakes and they brought regular pancakes. Then they took a long time to bring the GF pancakes. My husband was done with his breakfast by the time I got mine. Pancakes weren’t bad.

Delicious food. Items clearly marked gf. Waitress was very knowledgeable about celiac. Definitely go again.

My first time here was great. Sat at the bar and had the Greek chicken. They subbed out pita bread for cucumbers for my hummus. Delicious! My second time was breakfast - they didnt sub out the English muffin for toast even though my ticket did say gluten free sub on it-so totally kitchen's fault. Luckily I caught it and sent it back. Makes me a little nervous to eat there again
Fluffy GF pancakes, and didn't get sick. Buying a box of GF pancake mix to go is just under $4 and tastes great.
No
This location once claimed to have dedicated cooking and prep surfaces for GF items. This is absolutely no longer the case. The servers seemed very unfamiliar with which items were or were not GF, and served both my partner and me gluten pancakes after we informed them of an allergy. Not safe at all.
No
Nice staff, but I get sick there now when I never did before. I think they just stopped taking gluten seriously, which is unfortunate. Will miss it :(
No
Lots of selections any time of day. Wait staff and kitchen don’t always communicate well so double check things when they arrive. My omelet arrived with the sour cream sauce (not GF), sent back for a redo but waiter placed side dish container back on the plate that still had the sour cream sauce all over the side.
Yes
Kerbey has gluten feee pancakes and other offerings. If you ask them to avoid cross contamination they will explain the precautions they take. They even informed me that my omelet had a sauce with gluten and offered to sub out a gluten free sauce.
