Very celiac friendly at the counter. I asked for a lettuce wrap on my hamburger. He asked me if I was celiac. It seems like they care. I had a hamburger, and it was so good I didn’t miss the cheese or the brioche bun. Next time I’ll ask for tomato. It had red onion and lettuce. There was a seasoning on the burger that was garlicky. Also the burger took about 10 minutes to cook, which is good. It was fresh and delicious.

They have lettuce wraps. It's not 100% but it's pretty good. The sauce (ketchup and secret sauce) are not GF. They're processed in a plant that processes wheat just a heads up. Fries are in a dedicated fryer though! They're delicious

The servers admire awesome, mine has a mom with celiac disease and said that the cooking surfaces for the meat are separate from the gluten containing grill for buns and beyond burgers. The fries are also gluten free with dedicated fryers. Got the lettuce wrapped cheeseburger, delicious

This place used to be great for GF offerings but was sold to a chain. Now they offer lettuce wraps for burgers and no dedicated fryer. Meh

Wish had a gluten free bun available. But lettuce wraps and truffle fries are good too.
Not GF walked .5 miles based on the reviews no GF buns, no dedicated fryer. Save yourself the trip. Not even worth the one star.
No
I’ve eaten here about 8 times now with no issues, making them the safest burger on cap hill tied with Blue Moon...but I honestly like the burgers here much more. They have a lettuce wrap option, and their fryers are solely used for their truffle fries making them safe. They also grill buns on a separate smaller fryer. The only risk is glove contamination, but they’ve happily used fresh gloves when I’ve asked.
Yes
Fries are in a dedicated fryer, we have eaten them many times without issue. Haven’t been brave enough to try a lettuce wrapped burger yet as the risk of cross contamination seems high.
Small burgers, they can be made with lettuce wrap. Dedicated fryer for fries. Website says not celiac safe.
No
Lettuce wrapped burgers and gf fries are the only thing in the fryer!
1/31/17 updating my review. The last time I came here the girl was exceptionally rude. Didn't even want to listen to my requests for avoiding cross contamination and said it says somewhere around here we don't guarantee to be gluten free. I explained I understood but that there were things they have done in the past and simple requests to avoid cross contamination. Mind you there was no orders in front of me and staff was just standing around. She didn't pass on instructions. They didn't even get the order correct. I order cheddar and well done burger and received goat and bloody burger. I won't be back.
They do a lettuce wrap burger and the buns aren't toasted on the same grill. Each sandwich is made on its own paper so no cross contamination from the prep surface. The fries are also safe as stated on their website. And delicious. I like going when it's not a lunch or dinner rush so I can take the time to ask them to use separate utensils and to be extra careful.
No
Lettuce wrapped burgers, they only fry fries so their fryers are gf. Great fast food option.
Simple menu! Informed staff! Delicious burger with goat cheese, truffle fries, and Camden's blue label catsup. Great lunch and no worries about contamination.
Yes
Burger in a lettuce wrap is quite tasty. Fries are in a dedicated fryer. Slight risk of cross contamination from regular buns, but they seem competent and careful enough.
You can get your burger without a bun, but it's cooked in the same area they toast buns. The truffle fries are sooo good though, and they're the only fried food in the place, so they should be safe.
