I tend to get a salad when I go, but the owner is often there and will go above and beyond to get your order safe. He did say that their gluten free menu is outdated, but then he handed me a regular menu and was willing to make me just about anything gluten free that he could. He asked about a million questions the first few times I went to make sure he got it right (which I appreciate greatly)! Now I get basically the same thing every time, but we know it’ll always be safe! Note: it’s SO busy at breakfast/lunch and practically empty at dinner time.

Minis cafe offers plenty of regular options for those with gluten allergies such as meatloaf, roasted chicken, and all day breakfast. To my surprise Mimi’s Cafe does have gluten free toast for breakfast and although it’s not specified on the menu they do have gluten free French toast upon request. They also have gluten free bread for the French dip. I’m not quite sure how the French onion soup is made but it doesn’t seem to be a problem. Just the toast in the soup but the soup itself is delicious

Are here with no issues. Had gf bread which was toasted separately. Steak and mashed potatoes were gf. As was the grilled chicken. Staff were accommodating and easy place to eat.

Very disappointed after reading good reviews. We went for brunch on Sunday. I asked waitress about GF options. She did not offer a menu, she said they don’t have GF bread and so much of their menu has bread or pastries/baked goods for brunch. Not even GF pancakes. Ended up getting side item of eggs and sausage.

GF menu given to is was more limited than what appears on the website, and the server was uncertain about our options but did communicate with the kitchen to be check that there was a gluten protocol. In the end we had a nice meal from a considerate restaurant.

This restaurant made me very sick, I would advise any one with celiac disease eat elsewhere.

Excellent! They have a gf menu and their server worked with me to create a great meal at great price. No reactions, just good food in my belly! What a relief it is, to five a reliable place while on vacation. I’m grateful and so is my gut đ I came back and ordered the smoked salmon omelette without the sour cream or roasted potatoes; they offered me different sides and didn’t charge more. Happy camper đ

Was getting takeaway dinner and they had the chef come out and speak with me and were very helpful they were able to accommodate a number of dinner options for my daughter and I that were gluten free.

I have celiac disease and have only eaten here once, got a salad that was naturally gf and also told the waiter I had a gluten allergy. Was excellent and didn’t get sick! Waiter told me told me a couple times me the food was prepared for the gluten allergy and was very careful not to cross contaminate.

One review said that staff was knowledgeable — could not be further from the truth. I simply asked what can I eat here- totally open to options. Server had to go get a manager & manager had to refer to the chef so about 15-20 minutes later, I was able to order unconfidently. Salad then came out with croutons— ugh. Reluctantly ate my very plain grilled salmon with plain mashed potatoes & plain green beans. I am quite certain that I will spend the night in the bathroom floor, but I will apologize in another review if not. If you are very sensitive DO NOT EAT HERE.

Well they do have a gluten free menu. It’s a tiny section with 5 options including breakfast and dinner. I got the steak and eggs and was told afterwards that I wouldn’t get my roasted potatoes because they’re cooked in a fryer with gluten. It was okay if you’re stuck going here, but I wouldn’t say it’s particularly easy to find a meal.

This location has a “gluten-friendly” menu with 5 items on it, none of which appealed to me. I ordered a Cobb salad with vinaigrette, and I didn’t get sick. Be warned—the portions of everything are HUGE! The salad could have fed 2-3 people easily.

Gluten 'FRIENDLY' menu, not gluten free. If I had celiac I would NOT trust it. Staff not very knowledgeable, but they tried. Only had one laminated gluten friendly menu and 3 members of staff had to scramble to find it saying it had been lost for days. Had a binder with all allergen info printed out. Everything I looked at in the binder that was on the gf menu stated that it does have gluten (in allergen the binder), so I don't trust the info. Make sure they know to tell the kitchen, no matter what you order! Very little selection on gf menu (and far less for dairy free and other allergens). The wait staff did seem eager to help, but had no knowledge on the matter.

After several visits with no problems, I got glutened. The whole experience on this latest visit was terrible... It took over an hour to get our food, and when we did finally get it, it was cold. Then later, I got sick. Never going back.

They have a “gluten friendly” menu on their website but it is NOT actually gluten-free. For instance they have fries and breakfast potatoes listed there, but in person they told me they cannot make them without cross contamination. I ended up just having plain scrambled eggs - won’t be coming back.

The staff is very knowledgeable about Celiac and gluten. Everything tasted wonderful and was so beautifully presented. They have their own gluten free menu and my gf, who has Celiac, felt safe ordering whatever looked good on the gluten-free menu. She had the Rustic Chicken with artichokes and a side salad. I even ordered us a Creme Brûlée for dessert and she loved that too. She can’t stop talking about how excellent everything was. This is her new favorite place to eat and a longtime favorite of mine. Too bad they closed the one near where we live đ˘ in Charlotte, NC.
Yes
Enjoyed a good breakfast. They do have a gluten free menu.
Not a seperate gluten free menu, but they do have an allergen menu online. We both got omlets and substituted fruit for the bread side. Fruit was not fresh and omlet was subpar. Not worth returning for such a limited menu and lower quality breakfast.
No gluten free menu. No gluten free substitutes. Manageable with skipping normal gluten foods, but nothing special.
Ordered the Nicoisa salad and told the waiter I have an allergy to wheat. The salad arrives with no potatoes. I ask for those and he brings me a side of potatoes mixed with croutons. When I tell the manager, he gives me a whole new salad complete with one soggy crouton below all the lettuce. Just a CC hell on wheels

Gluten free menu. Food was excellent.
Yes
The staff was very knowledgeable of Celiac and gluten free precautions. The food was amazing and very friendly staff. I would highly recommend it.
Yes
Only had an allergy list that was handed to me without any guidance or assistance from the waitress. The list was long and confusing. Only options were the eggs. They have the roasted potatoes labeled as not having wheat or "other gluten" but they are fried in the same fryer as everything else. Not celiac friendly. Very disappointing.
No
What a gem! This is THE breakfast place. The staff is knowledgeable and have a gf menu...not a nutritional list but and actual MENU! Great place for breakfast and the food is yummy.
Yes
If I could give zero I would . Gluten free menu was confusing and had to ask 3 times for it. Ended up getting just plain chicken and had a reaction. Stay far away !! Horrible service like the worst ever !!!!!
Had the bacon avocado omelet with roasted potatoes and a mimosa. Informed the waiter of my allergy, and he reassured me the items I was ordering were gluten free. Sadly, I think the carefulness did not take place back in the kitchen. Felt bad all day. My food was good though, hence the 3 stars
Separate gluten free menu. Staff was somewhat knowledgeable, menu has roasted potatoes but upon questioning they are deep fried at one point, very appreciative server knew that. Food was delicious
This location is CLOSED. Had to give a star to post review but in this case isn't representative of the food. The place is CLOSED.
I went since it had great reviews. First they don’t have a gluten free menu I asked the hostess and he brought the kitchen manager out. He came out and handed me a binder that contained nutritional facts but nothing about allergies or gluten. The manager didn’t speak English well enough to understand what I needed she we left. I wouldn’t recommend trying this particular Mimi’s they won’t be able to accommodate you if they don’t even know what a gluten free menu or allergy menu is.
Just met a friend here for brunch. Mimi's has a gluten free menu which of course can just be a courtesy only. However, our server, Justice, was very affirming and related personal family experience with food sensitivities which was comforting that she knew the importance of every step. The reason I would say Celiac friendly was because a manager, Joe White, came out to check on me and told me his son had been GF for 10 years and that he knew xxc was a huge problem! Although I ordered very simply as I always do, sometimes that is not enough if the kitchen is not on alert. That was 2 hours ago and feeling fine! I would go back there!
Yes
The chicken is good and their mashed potatoes are great but they could make a better effort to offer gluten free fries :0) prices are good! better prices than olive garden!
No
They don't always have a separate gluten free menu which means you have to flip through the allergy guide which takes forever and doesn't have very many options. It sounds like they sometimes have a separate menu. I'll definitely be calling ahead next time to see if they have updated menus.
Stopped for breakfast while travelling. They had a separate gluten free menu and offered substitutions for toast without asking. I don't think they had pancakes or waffles on the gf menu. Seemed to understand how to handle it in the kitchen. The food was very good.
Yes
Their roasted potatoes are listed as GF but are now fried in a shared fryer. Ask the chef to fry them in a separate pan.
They had a few pieces of paper printed out and stapled together with suggested menu items. It hadn't been updated since 2014. I'm gluten sensitive. I wouldn't trust it if I was celiac. Update... I got glutened. I think it was cross contamination on the grill.
No
I was offered a GF menu and it was very delicious. The menu had several items not on the original menu and had tips to order from the original menu.
Yes
I told my waitress FIVE times I couldn't have anything with wheat, it was like poison to me. She promised to check with the chef and then brought me the tomato basil soup and a basket of bread. I had her remove the bread. The soup had wheat and made me sick. I wrote the corporate office to ask them to educate their servers and they didn't even respond. I won't go there again.
No
Always accommodating. They have a GF menu and clean the grill/change gloves.
Ask for GF Menu. Note that fried foods will be fried in same fat as wheat breaded foods.
Yes
Nothing special. They have a book listing individual gluten free items. The roasted potatoes were very good.
They have a good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A GF menu is available and they can roast the potatoes for breakfast.
Not celiac friendly!! Had an unfortunate experience here.
it's just salads they're not even cheap btw.

A manager here has Celiac's and so they were very accommodating. They had a gf menu and knew what to do!

Bad experience. Not knowledgable or very accommodating.

Terrible experience. I am pretty sure my fruit bowl came off another guests plate after yet ate some of it...

I ordered the salmon, spinach, and potatoes off of the gluten free menu and while eating found a French fry in my potatoes. The French fries are fried in a fryer that is used for everything else...I made my waiter aware of this and he sent the manager to my table. She apologized and offered to switch my meal for something else. I calmly explained to her that I am, fortunately, only sensitive to gluten and so I could still eat my food but for someone with celiacs this was a big deal. She offered to bring me a muffin or dessert to make up for it. Yep. She offered a muffin. NOT A CELIAC FRIENDLY PLACE. But, as I said I am sensitive to gluten (and still in the early stages of transitioning back to a gluten free diet--I was silly enough to go off of it when my results for gluten intolerance came back negative but that's a whole different story) and so I kept my original food but probably won't go back.
