Gluten-Free at Souper! Salad!

Salads, baked potatoes and other gluten free options

This place is amazing for celiac. My mother and I both have celiac and we came here for lunch and were very happy with the amount of options. Ask for the gluten free list and they will give you a paper with all of the options. The owner was so nice and helpful.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

The green salad options are GF, but the only dressing option is oil n vinegar. Condiments are easily cross contaminated by croutons. Baked potatoes are GF, but the soups, breads, pizzas are all gluten toxic. Not s place you go to for atmosphere, it's more like a 50's cafeteria feeling.

love souper salad. the gluten-free broccoli cheese soup is good. build your salad the way you like it.

Love their salad bar! All items are marked with a symbol to indicate either allergens or ingredients. Many gf soups available too!

Pretty decent, laid out gluten free items, including broccoli and cheddar soup.

I did not know Souper Salad had so many gluten free options! It was helpful that they not only had everything listed on the gluten free menu online but there were tabs on the salad mixes like the yummy Worldorf salad, that listed if the item was gluten free in the restaurant.

Great tasting gluten free soups ♥.(when they are displayed. i always call before hand cuz they don't always have them out sadly) and everything that's gf says so which is convenient. Never got sick once here.

Not bad for just a salad place. Good salad, but for $7 a few more options would be great to see come back, like BACON BITS. The real ones, not the icky imitation kind.

I pulled up the gf list on my phone. Lots of choices and website VERY easy and labeled perfectly. Salad and soups.

Had a lot of Gluten free choices but only salad wise... I would like to see more gluten free soups and stuff

If you have celiac, do not trust the signs on the soups & desserts even though they say "gluten free". Since my best friend has celiac & we're both vegetarian, we don't always have many options when choosing a place to go eat but after debating it for 30 minutes we finally decided that Souper Salad would be a safe bet. We were both very excited to see that they actually had a gluten friendly & vegetarian soup that was very very good! They also had the desert area labeled with things that were gluten free (pudding/whipped cream/fruit). I'm not sure if it was the soup or deserts but one of them was NOT gluten free. Immediately after we left she started to get extremely sick. I honestly wouldn't recommend this Souper Salad to anyone. I am extremely upset and angry that they advertised these items to be gluten friendly when they weren't.

Food was not very good and the restaurant was on the dirty side. I will never go back.

There is some risk of cross-contamination here, mostly from other customers since it's a buffet, but they do label their gluten free dishes and they usually have one gluten free soup option as well.

Not an extensive amount of gluten free. Most of the g.f. Foods are next to non-g.f. So a lot of cross contamination.

All their soups without pasta are gluten free. The ranch dressing is gluten free. I think all dressings are. Taco meat is gluten free an taco shells are corn. Lots of gluten free things to eat there.

Not a good experience. All I had was a simple salad with a few vegetables on it. Used vinegar and oil dressing and felt sick within minutes of leaving. So I won't be back!

Soups were labeled as gluten free. Knowledgeable staff. Clean and friendly.

Did not like this place. It did not seem very clean, was hard to know what was GF, and the food was not good at all!

I went to one of the San Antonio locations last night and they still had items posted as gluten free. I agree that there is a risk of cross contamination but in my opinion it is lower than most restaurants where the food is out of your site for long periods of time. They do need a GF salad dressing though.

It's my understanding that they are under new ownership and are no longer offering a GF menu.

Too much cc to make eating worthwhile

always something for our 4 year old celiac. she actually loves the place. great that they label the foods now. still, this is Santa Fe and you can only trust them so much. we've never had a problem though.

I have a feeling this place would be great if they could find their one GF menu. They searched everywhere for it, but it was never to be found.

would give it a 5 if they had g-free dressing. other than that the salad buffet is wonderful, great variety.
