I’m new to this! What are the better tasting brands of breads? I tried Schar and I was pleasantly surprised. Others?

ruthimon I’m a real sucker for the Canyon Bakehouse brand! Their mountain white loaves are the size of normal bread and the white sandwich bread is good. They also do Hawaiian rolls which are good. In terms of bagels, English muffins, and hamburger buns, it’s Trader Joe’s all the way. Hope that helps!! 1 reply

MaryP70 My favorite bread is what Schlotsky’s uses for GF, which I discovered is Udi’s. Occasionally when I buy a sandwich there they will sell me an extra bun (it comes in a plastic package) - but whether they will or won’t and what the price is really varies!

tmoney27565 The trader joe store brands are good.

Cindy92648 UDI buns and French Baguettes are by far my favorite. They don’t crumble or get spongy and have good flavor. Jersey Mike’s uses this bread as well. 1 reply

stephanieselene12 I went to Katz Deli and they have their gluten free bread for purchase, I really liked it! Simple Kneads is also very good, you can get that online.

ashley48498 Kroger brand Gluten Free taste like regular bread, is larger loaf and last longer than other brands. It does not require refrigerating.

tawnie3244 I love 3 Bakers multigrain or multiseed. Expensive, so I stock up when they’re on sale and bake bread from scratch if I run out of sandwich bread in between sales. If you miss that crusty-soft baguette texture, I recommend getting the GF Artisan Bread in 5 minutes a day cookbook. Or moving to Europe ;) 1 reply

Naturalblu Whole Foods Gf brand is regular sized and comes in 2 varieties. It can be found on the shelf and in the freezer section. It isn’t dense like so many gf breads and when warmed slightly in the toaster is soft and delicious for sandwiches. It’s also reasonably priced.
