I want to give this place 4 stars (vs. 3) but the reality is that I didn't feel great after eating here. I can't guarantee it was my meal? But it most likely was, so -- approach with care and caution, I guess.
I let the server (who was lovely) know I was celiac. He seemed knowledgeable and focused, and said he was flagging my order. I had the BLT club on a GF bun and fries (which he said were in a dedicated fryer). They also offer GF pizza crust.
We came early so I could talk with the wait staff. They didn’t mention they had a dedicated fryer to me, just that they had GF buns and pizza. The menu isn’t marked, but there is an allergy list online (unfortunately my phone died right before I got there so I was a bit stuck).
You write your order on a card so I also made sure to note very largely first that I had an allergy and required no cross contamination. I ordered the impossible burger with a GF bun and side salad, undressed, no croutons.
The salad was delivered with a single crouton on it (which was really hard to see in the dark and I almost ate it). That there was only one makes me concerned that someone put croutons on it and then tried to remove them.
I sent it back immediately and honestly should have sent the whole meal back because now I have a stomach ache consistent with being glutened. I asked the server as I returned the salad if the whole meal was safe and she said it was because it was on a special tray. But, at the end of the movie I noticed my husband’s food came on a similar tray to mine and he did not order his food gluten free.
Exercise caution if you are going to risk it, get there early so you can see your meal before the lights are off and ask questions. They play an hour of custom content that pairs with the film you’re seeing, so you won’t be bored if you’re early.
I got the Cobb salad and explained that I had celiac and am sensitive to CC. The server seemed to understand and was confident they could take care of me.
The salad was delicious and I’d order again. It’s been a few days and I haven’t gotten sick.
The menu doesn’t list GF items, so you do have to chat with the server more.
Let them know my daughter had celiac and they fried her fries in a separate fryer. I double checked before she ate them since everything arrived in the dark of course. They have gluten free buns - she doesn’t like buns with burgers - so she was so excited to have safe fries (no reaction after).
