Amélie's French Bakery

Weird that people have had good experiences with this place! I ordered a gluten free breakfast sandwich and got very sick! It's a shame because my friends love coming here, but I'll only order their coffee next time.

I love the food at Amelie’s, and I will forever return for their GF salted caramel brownies and macarons. However, I haven’t had good experiences with the staff being knowledgeable about ingredients for lunch items. For example, it was quite an ordeal to find out whether any of their soups were GF. I ended up feeling uneasy about it, but I took a risk on a chicken and rice soup that turned out to be quite bland. Not enough options or confidence in the staff to rely on this place for a meal, sadly, but the GF desserts are a definite go.

The gf coconut macaroons, gf salted caramel brownie and gluten free breakfast sandwich are awesome!

The staff was fairly well informed and had an allergen menu on hand. I had more choices than I expected- I loved Amelie's last year but when I was diagnosed with celiac I thought I'd have to say goodby to French pastries. But almond flour is used as the base for a decent number of their desserts- I got a delicious raspberry almond tea cake. All the macarons are gluten free, as are some other desserts like a gluten free brownie, chocolate mousse cups, and creme brulee. The lunch/ dinner menu have fewer choices but most salads and soups are an option.

the coffee and the macarons are great! I’d stay away from the sandwiches depending on how sensitive you are. Great service and helpful staff!! <3

I love Amelies. I have to eat Gluten Free now, but I was informed by an employee that macaroons and bread are the only Gluten Free items in the store. Sad news.

Several gluten free items. Almond tea cake was delicious. Cross contamination is certainly possible but I did not have any issues.

Love this place. Macarons are to die for. Sandwiches are put on GF bread. I've had breakfast and lunch here a few times without issue.
