Ordered a gluten free pizza online for pick up. When I showed up, was told they were out of gluten free crust so they just put it on regular crust- no call beforehand about the issue. They didn’t seem to understand why you can’t replace gluten free crust with regular crust, don’t recommend this location
Staff were great- asked if gluten free was preference or allergy, after stating that it was an allergy, they changed gloves, wiped everything down and informed all other staff members in the line. Also had vegan cheese:)
They have gluten free pizza crust which is actually pretty good and they outline on their online menu what toppings etc are gf, HOWEVER I watched the woman change gloves which was great & they use different pans for each pizza but the pans weren’t cleaned in between uses they were only wiped off with a towel and then they used the same pizza cutter for the gluten ones as they did gf. Not safe for celiac
I had never heard of this pizza place and when a friend suggested it I was excited to see they offered gluten free crust. Each employee who I interacted with asked me if GF was an allergy or preference so they could change their gloves. My pizza cooked in its own separate oven. I got their white pizza Gnarlic I think it was called and topped it off with fig balsamic. I also got a drink so it totaled around $16. The pizza is pretty big and it tasted so good! I could barely tell it wasn’t a normal crust. Served to me in a box not on their normal plates. I wasn’t sure how white pizza would be on gluten free crust but it was very good.
They always ask if it’s allergy or preference. If allergy, they clean all surfaces, change gloves and make every effort not to cross contaminate. It’s always a risk, but the staff is extremely knowledgeable.
May be ok for gluten intolerant, definitely not ok for celiac. GF dough is kept open in a fridge under the counter the prep the regular dough. They pulled it out and put it on the counter they were also using with wheat dough and didn’t change gloves.
When I told the guy behind the counter about my dietary limitations (I’m dairy-free and vegetarian as well as gluten-free), he pulled out the allergy menu and patiently went over it with me. (He also saw I walk with a cane, and was kind enough to volunteer to carry my pizza and drink to my table for me.) The pizza was delicious! They offer vegan mozzarella as well as a wide range of toppings. Plus they make their own sodas! I had “pear-fig elixir” — yummy. My only quibble is that it gets loud. Otherwise, highly recommended.
High risk for cross contamo. They asked allergy or preference, I said allergy. But then I noticed the utensils they just used to rub sauce all over a regular pizza was used to rub sauce all over my GF pizza. No glove change after handling wheat dough, same utensils used to pick the pizza up after it got out of the oven. Didn’t risk it, gave the pizza to a friend. I could have just been there in an off day, but probably won’t go back, there’s better places for GF food.
When the first opened, they were super careful with gluten free pizza, but last time I went I got sick and I had to stop them before they used the same cutter/gloves/ tray for my pizza as the rest. There is no gluten free pizza here, just a dry crust they charge extra for. You will get sick here if you are sensitive. It used to be better.
Tastes great, BUT, flour gets on everything so there is no way to avoid getting glutened. I was guaranteed their fig balsamic was gluten free, she spouted off all the ingredients, but after getting quite sick I called the manager. Sure enough - there was wheat in it.
That last review got my hopes up but there is no way this place is safe for anyone with Celiacs or a severe allergy... It is assembly line structured, so all the toppings have already been cross contaminated... Changing gloves only when someone asks them to is useless.
Build your own pizza using premade gluten free pizza dough! Since I have a gluten allergy, the staff was very careful about avoiding cross contamination (made all staff aware of my allergy, wiped down all surfaces, changed gloves, etc). Absolutely delicious pizza!
I contacted the company regarding their gluten free pizza. They assured me that they do their best to reduce cross-contamination by glove changes and separate slicers for GF pizzas. Their pizza is really good though. From their website: "&pizza advises against GF dough for extreme gluten intolerances; cross contamination may occur."
