Great experience at Aubrey’s in Bristol. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful, plus if she didn’t know, she wasn’t embarrassed to ask the kitchen. First, she brought me a GF roll while the others had their bread. Then I had the Hickory chicken (grilled chicken) with smashed new potatoes and a side salad. I got the GF brownie after the meal, for dessert. Everything was delicious and I had no reaction. So much food too for the price. I highly recommend!!
Tonight was the second time trying Aubrey’s for GF. The first time, the waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable about GF and answered any questions we had. That experience and food was wonderful so we wanted to go again. Tonight, when we ordered, I was told my meal came with fries (which is not listed on the Gf menu) so I asked to be sure they were actually a GF option. She said “I think so, I’ve had them before but I can check” (which she never actually did check). It seemed like GF wasn’t a big deal to her. My hubby has Celiac and ordered from the GF menu and within 30 minutes of eating he was super sick. He ordered the same thing he got the first time but the smashed potatoes were different this time. Not sure what had gluten in it but something did and now he’s paying for it. 😔
Server was very knowledgeable. When we asked about gluten-free options, she immediately asked if cross-contamination was an issue. My wife has celiac so we told her yes. She went through the options and was very thorough. The good was very good and there were no effects later. Definitely recommend.
I got the cheeseburger with bacon, Side salad (that was humongous) and had potato sticks. Was very good! I could see the brands of their condiments were gluten free brands. Server was knowledgeable and assured me of the gluten free bun heated completely separate from other buns. Brought out a warm gf bun and butter before our meal. The burger and bun was like something I would make at home, but cooked perfectly and tasty. I might try a different entree next time bc the potato and side salad were great. Wish they had a separate fryer for fries and chips, but otherwise perfect.
Great buns and nice servers! They also have GF salads. I would recommend the chicken and cranberry salad, the gf mushroom burger, the gf patty melt, and the gf prime cheddar burger. However, a few times I have felt sick afterwards and sometimes I have not. Once our food came out on gluten toast and we had to send it back, but the helpful server gladly returned it gave us gf food.
Server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Answered all my questions. Food was very good. Got one of the burgers with a gluten free bun, smashed new potatoes, and steamed broccoli. The broccoli still had crunch but wasn’t crispy, very good. Server kept checking on the entire table. I was impressed with the size of the gluten free menu. Overall happy with the experience.
Aubreys did a great job with insuring that our gluten free items were in a separate bag from our non gluten free items. We had 2 people with celiac in our group and 3 without celiac. We did not get glutened which is good. The quality of the food however wasn't that great. I had a gf chicken salad sandwich, no bacon with coleslaw. The chicken salad was very bland. The other celiac in the group had a gf burger and it was dry. They didn't eat much of it. My son had Mac and Cheese and it was just okay....as was the salmon over rice. We internet ordered for pick up since we were arriving in Knoxville for the night after many hours of driving. There seemed to be some confusion when we arrived because we were told the order wasn't ready.. even though we had ordered way ahead for a 7pm pickup. We likely wouldn't order from here again due to the disappointing quality of the food
Great separate GF menu and our food was really good. We would definitely go back when in the Knoxville area.
