I've attempted to eat here twice. The first time, I had a great experience and no adverse reaction. The second time, I indicated gluten allergy and asked for gloves to be changed. Gloves were not changed, the bun was placed on a dirty toasting tray, and it was removed from the oven with unwashed/ungloved hands. I did not eat there after watching this happen. The company has been responsive to my contact. However, if you have celiac disease, I would advise against eating here.
Healthy, creative menu with generous portion sizes. The baked fries, burgers, and GF buns are all fantastic. Accommodating and friendly staff. So, so impressed with this place. The kale and quinoa bowls are really delicious and make a perfect lunch! Highly recommend!!
I find myself here at least once a week. They’re incredibly friendly and everyone seems to enjoy their job. I tell them up front that I can’t have wheat and they take great care of me. The bowls are great (specify that you need gf, since they can all be made that way, but some aren’t if you don’t ask them to modify). Right now my big kicks are the flexitarian burgers. Definitely give them a try!
EDIT: appears they went back to GF Fries but double check the menu when you go to the locations as not sure if all made the change or not. WARNING- their fries are no longer gluten free and it was multiple Visits before anyone who worked there told us they changed them.
Visiting family in Burlington, didn’t want a full sit down meal. Got a salad labeled GF, but the register worker didn’t give me a lot of confidence. Should have listened to myself. They were really disorganized and I got really sick off their food.
I specified online that I was allergic to wheat and tomatoes and they added sliced tomato to a sandwich that didn’t come with them. Didn’t even try to touch it because I didn’t trust that I got a gluten free bun. If you want to risk it, absolutely order in person.
They had items with bread crumbs labeled gluten free. The employee confirmed that the bread crumbs weren’t GF. I told the manager who shrugged it off. The website had the same problem. I also emailed corporate but they didn’t respond. Eventually they corrected the labeling but it took long enough that I can no longer ever trust their labeling nor would I give them business given they clearly don’t respond well to allergy issues
I only got things that were naturally gluten free to be on the safe side, but their food prep is set up more buffet style so it isn't seem all that great. Plus, what I got wasn't the best tasting, so don't waste your time at this location.
The food is good, but many of the staff members express bewilderment or annoyance when Celaic requirements are specified. While the kitchen does take some precautions (e.g. with the fries), I don’t think you can ever be sure that there wasn’t some amount of cross-contamination.I have gotten sick here twice. Most recently, it was a pretty bad exposure.
During food preparation, watched workers cross contaminate lettuce bowl after working with wheat hamburger buns, and toast wheat buns on the same surface my gf-flagged tofu was prepared. After bringing this to the attention of the manager, ended up having to cancel my order. NOT CELIAC FRIENDLY.
Plenty of healthy options here: Fries are baked, there are different burger & topping options, a variety of drinks (sodas, teas & lemonades), smoothies, veggies and salads. You won’t be disappointed. Fast service too!
I've been to other locations and they have been great. This one was terrible and didn't know what celiac or cross contamination was. I saw them actively contaminating all of the fries and salad/condiment bar. When we asked to cancel our order and explained why we canceled they didn't understand what I meant by contaminating and we explained and they still seemed baffled. Would NOT recommend this particular location.
It's such a relief to have a place you can pick up something quick that's gluten free. Their burgers are great and you can get them on an udis bun. They have a few items that can't be made gluten free but for the most part you can get everything there. My favorite is the beef burger with jalapeño slaw and bacon, yum!
Fresh, delicious food. Everything here is labeled on the menu, along with the calorie counts. You can also get your burger over veggies instead of a bun (which did not fall apart BTW). Great choices too!
Staff was sweet, but this was the only thing I ate yesterday, not from my kitchen, and I got sick. Could be cross contamination. Many opportunities for this but the tried. Possibly dust in the air or the fact that they cleaned the vents while prepping food
They advertise a gluten free bun, but didn't tell me there are bread crumbs in the veggie burger until I got there and they had to re-make it with beef. I also have an allergy to soy so maybe there was soy somewhere in what I ordered (I'm usually very careful), but I had the Adopted Luke and my stomach had a reaction.
Staff has always been helpful. Food is always fresh. Love any of the warm bowls with quinoa! Also indulge in a low carb version of their burgers. They do have gf buns, but I prefer the low carb version with veggies.
Staff seemed knowledgeable for gluten free adjustments. I am celiac but said I have a gluten allergy, when making my order they confirmed the allergy, changed gloves and did not put on a sauce which contained gluten. Fries are baked and appear safe.
