Terrible experience, the menu items indicated gf, we talked to the staff and told them we were allergic. We couldn’t even get half way through our food without getting sick. When we told the staff they argued with us and then said “well it is 90% gf”.

Really wanted the pastel de nata to be amazing here but unfortunately they were just sickly sweet with a quite hard, non-tender pastry. Rice Me Deli were way better. Skip.

Food was delicious - yellow curry with prawns. Also, gf pastel de nata for dessert! Staff was very knowledgeable. Not dedicated gf, but gf items are clearly labelled and certified, and staff asks for allergies, double checked with the kitchen, and confirmed upon serving the food, as well as clarifying my partner’s dish wasn’t gf and it wasn’t safe for me. Absolutely fantastic experience - delicious, safe food. Zero reactions. Going back!

I emailed them about my allergies and about cross contamination and they emailed back "Hello, we apologize for our slow response. We do have gluten free and vegan pastel de nata. No eggs and no coconut milk, no peanuts also, but have soya milk.  Also we do have a good gluten free options. Thank you"

Incredible assortment if gluten free pastries, including Portuguese tarts. Would highly recommend purchasing. Service was very low, however, coffee was super hot and strong which made the experience fabulous!

I was excited for this place, and stopped in for two pastries to snack on midday. Unfortunately I was let down by their pastel de nata and their custard croissant. Both were very heavy and bready instead of light and flaky. I had far better versions in Porto earlier in my trip. However I did feel safe eating here as I was assured that all of the pastries were GF, and they had a GF certification at the entrance.

The food looked beautiful. Not 100% my taste, but it was very good to have the possibility to choose all of the menu. They server gluten noodles too, but i'm sure there was no possible cross-contamination

Great food and 100% safe for celiacs since it’s certified by the Portuguese Coeliac Association. The staff is very friendly and the place is really nice. Definitely recommend 👍

We stopped for lunch, had a lot of GF pastries available, pastel de natas were good, although one sample of cake we tried was very stale, the ones we ordered were fine.

Came in the evening for dinner (Indonesian) items were not marked as GF but the waiter said the chef could change anything for it to be GF so I think it's mostly just the egg noodles that were a risk. Had beef rendang and it was absolutely delicious.

I never thought I’d have a filled croissant and after watching my husband enjoy so many in Italy, I was definitely sad. This place, however, was amazing. The bread was a bit stale on the breakfast, but nothing butter couldn’t fix. The pastries were amazing and so fantastic to not worry about it here!

I was so excited to come here after reading all of the reviews (formerly Zarzuela) but … Everything was beyond stale we couldn’t even enjoy it. I had already ordered and then they told me they didn’t accept credit cards either. Luckily I had just enough euro left. If you want a fresh and flaky pastel de nata, go to Rice Me Cafe, it was probably the best I’ve ever had.

Gf menu with pastries and sandwiches. Went there for breakfast, a lot of choice. Very nice environment. For "mixed" families, note that for many pastries there are only gf options (e.g. no "standard" pasteis de nata, only gf).

Great food! All GF. Used to be called Zarzuela and changed names. Kid friendly. Friendly staff. Also many vegetarian and vegan options. Would definitely come back :)
