I was really excited to eat here but the cross-contamination is so bad!! Only one employee was knowledgeable about gluten free and had to coach the others through things. I had them make me a gluten free dairy free pizza but the pan had holes in the bottom of it, they used the same spatula/shovel thing to move it in and out of the oven, and then one guy touched my pizza without changing his gloves after touching gluten-full pizzas. They were going to remake it but I just asked them to take my pizza off because I was really worried about the cross contamination. I was excited and the employees were really nice but I just didn’t want to risk it because it did not seem safe!
The workers were so knowledgeable and I was able to get an AMAZING gluten and dairy free pizza! They did tell me that their vegan cheese is gluten free and made in house (delicious) and the other just dairy free cheese has gluten so something to keep in mind. WILL be going back amazing homemade vegan ranch too
They had gluten free crust and changed gloves for me. All of the meat toppings other than meatballs were gluten free. They also had really good vegan cheese. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. This is BY FAR the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. I only wish this restaurant were in St. Louis!!!!!
I went to eat GF pizza. I mentioned several times that I have celiac disease and I’m highly allergic, they assured that they’ll make my pizza in the walk-in area to avoid cross contamination. The pizza was delicious, but several hours later I got really sick and that was the only thing I ate so I knew it was from the pizza. I would about this place if you have celiac disease, it’s clear cross contamination there
Fantastic pizza place that we visited because of the Find Me Gluten Free App. We were so impressed with how friendly and professional everyone was at this restaurant. The pizzas were fresh and yummy! The staff was taking care to sanitize, wear masks and provide for social distancing during the Covid19 pandemic.
The staff was very accommodating to our requests. They kept our crust on a plate to keep it from touching dangerous surfaces, changed gloves, got toppings from untouched containers and even sliced it with a clean slicer. On top of all of that, it was delicious! We got 1 pepperoni and cheese and 1 pesto pizza.
I got a gf cheese pizza. Some people are very knowledgeable and others not so much. You need to make sure you make them aware of being celiac and ask for new gloves and ladel and to get sauce from new container and toppings from the back. They cleaned the oven out and use special trays for the gf. I did not get sick. The sauce and cheese was good. They use udi's crust which is ok. Lots of places in the area use it
I am a very sensitive Celiac, and I get cross contaminated very easily. My husband wanted to try pizza on our visit to Colorado Springs, so we tried Bambinos. I was concerned when I walked in...there was flour everywhere! But when I ordered the pizza and explained that I was Celiac, they changed aprons and gloves, got out fresh sauce and a ladle, placed gluten free crust in a clean baking tray. They were extremely careful for me...and the pizza was delicious! The crust was crispy, plentiful cheese...can't recommend enough! I would emphasize that you are Celiac (not merely sensitive), and then trust that they know what they're doing!
Taking great care of my gluten and dairy allergies, the staff changed gloves, washed their hands and prep pan, and pulled separate ingredients rather than the assembly line items which can get contaminated. They make their own dairyfree cheese, and the pizza crust was not a cracker, it bent and tasted like a real crust! Oh, and you get to choose all the toppings you want for 1 price - such a bonus.
