Tried this restaurant based on reviews. Stopped in for take out and I told them several times gf. When I got our food I checked to make sure gf. One meal had bread sitting on food. They apologized and gave me all new food. Made us nervous. In the end food was good and no issues after getting new food.
Yes
We love the food (especially the turkey) and can get dairy free as well as gluten free. I wish we could order more plant-based foods there. We'd go more if it wasn't such a risk compromising my health.

We have been to the Bandana in Cape Girardeau MO twice and the one in Arnold once.. Both locations were great. They took the "Allergy" seriously. We had great experiences all times. The most recent time we were there they caught an accidental slip. The staff in back accidentally put the bread on the plate. The waitress asked us to make sure it was an allergy as I had just said we are all gluten free. My fault on that it won't happen again. But when said yes a young man came to the table and said I am very sorry but we need to remake all your meals as bread touched them. I was impressed I know some places that would just take the bread off and not say a word. They remade our meals and all was well. The manager and waitress both apologized. several times. We explained that we understood but we were happy they had fixed the problem. We did not get sick. Life is good.. The food was excellent and there are many gf options. We love Bandana.

All meats and sauces are gluten-free. No cider offered.

I got glutened. It wasn't entirely their fault, but I wish they were better trained. I didn't realize the family meal we ordered would be on one platter and the garlic bread would be on top of my meat. My four year old was melting down so I didn't try to get it fixed. I will eat there again, but I don't trust the staff to catch cross contamination issues.
They have a gf menu.Almost everything is gf except a few fried items.lots of gf bbq sauces and sides. Great place to eat,I was stuffed on lunch portion.

Great food. Accommodating. Good BBQ.

Fantastic option. Almost everything on the menu is gluten free (ALL of those sauces, meats, and most of their sides). Every time we tell them no garlic bread because of my husband's gluten issues, they not only offer him an additional side, but the manager has frequently come out to discuss the options if he has a concern. No separate GF menu, but no need since most items are safe and staff/mgmt are very knowledgable.
They have a full listing of gluten free items on their website. The waitress was even careful to bring us only gluten free sauces as well. Great options of meats and sides that are gf. I had a bit of a stomach ache for an hour or two but didn’t get sick like I usually do when I get cross contaminated. I would risk trying it again but being quite a bit more specific about using clean gloves and utensils.

There are plenty of gluten free menu options and a nutrition guide on their website. If you notify them of a gluten allergy, the staff changes gloves and makes sure nothing with gluten in it comes in contact with your food.

Food was good, but I got so super sick. We are unsure if it was gluten CC because my gluten eating boyfriend was also sick feeling after eating here. I popped the probiotics like crazy for the first 24-48 hours and that helped quite a bit. I might give this location another try if I lived in the area. The waitress was nice and double checked things for me in the back and knew what was safe and what wasn't. Again...we're not sure if it was CC or something else, as we both felt yucky, but we'd also been traveling for close to a week and eating out daily (something we don't do frequently), so...it's anyone's guess. I requested a separate menu (based on prior reviews saying they had one), but the hostess didn't know if they even had one...
Great celiac friendly place. I'm celiac and I ordered the pork plate with green beans and potato salad. Tried all the gluten free sauces and it was all very good.

Staff is nice and will accommodate. They don’t have a GF menu but have a gluten allergen list you can use to order
