Bareburger

Bareburger changed in Jersey City used to be a sit down restaurant, but closed and now is a ghost kitchen within another restaurant. This location is no longer safe as my wife got glutened.

Normal Bareburger is usually safe, but avoid Jersey City’s takeout/delivery location

— Average

This is only takeout and not dine-in which was not listed on their website clearly. We had to find a subreddit in order to figure this out and spent a lot of time trying to find the restaurant. We did not get a chance to try the food because of this.

Fried chicken, fried pickles, tons of sauces, gluten free buns that don’t immediately fall apart…love it. This is my go to guilty pleasure when I just want some burgers and fried snacks. My non-celiac husband also LOVES the fried options and says they’re some of the best fried pickles. Ordering online is so easy because everything gf is very clearly marked and there is an option to check for gluten allergy.

This location opened up recently and I was so happy to find it! The food was AMAZING! The truffle fries were out of this world. Almost the entire menu was gluten free and they have a dedicated fryer for everything. I could not recommend this place more! As a Celiac, it is hard to find places that are quality and I can trust and this place has both!

This place was incredible! 98% of the menu was GF and they have a dedicated fryer! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and the manager, Alex, was fantastic with talking with us about their GF practice and the safety that goes along with it. Another exciting thing… they had a GF beer on tap!

Very nice, not a typical burger joint but not fancy, just comfortable. Good was very good and I felt quite safe.

Cider was one I hadn't had before, Black widow from New York. Perfectly balanced.

Super accessible! Easy to check items that are gluten free and you can also mark them as a preference vs. an allergy when ordering (at least in-person). Great options for GF vegetarians!

Amazing experience! All the fried chicken/popcorn chicken and fries are gluten free and fried in a separate fryer from the non-gluten free onion rings. The fried chicken and popcorn chicken are juicy and delicious and the fries are very tasty. The gluten free buns they use are very good too, they didn’t crumble. They were extremely careful with my order and it was a great place to grab a late dinner after a show.
