Awesome place! Lots of options. Seemed like great views….unfortunately our travels brought us here during a deluge of rain. There was a river running under our table! But the food was great. Just be sure to come on a nice day.

I am a very sensitive celiac and I have eaten here year after year. They are absolutely incredible and with little explanation they told me they would make note of my celiac so they change gloves, etc. but everything fried with the exception of a few items are gluten free and they are fried separate. My favorite place to eat on the quiet side!

No trip would be complete without a stop at Beal’s. My daughter and I split our meals. I had hot-butter lobster roll with gluten free hot dog bun and French fries. It was warm and buttery and delicious. French fries were great too. My daughter had gluten-free fried clams. Delicious and the tartar sauce had a hint of lemon in it. We had a vanilla shake and blueberry soda that were yummy and then we split a virgin blueberry pina-colada to go for dessert. The pier is a great outdoor spot and I really enjoyed this place!

This place was fantastic! Everyone understands celiac very well and they even explained to me that the owners daughter has celiac so they take everything seriously. They had so many different options which was so nice to see. I got a buffalo lobster roll with chips. We also got fried firecracker shrimp as well as an appetizer. Basically anything on the menu can be made GF! Definitely would recommend coming here! Seating outside is also great for dogs as well.

The people here understand celiac really well! They prepare it in a separate area if you explain that you have celiac. Almost all the fried food is gluten free because they use corn flour for frying, and any items that do have gluten are made in a separate fryer. The items that are gluten free or can be made gluten free are marked, and a reasonable portion of the menu is safe. I had the lobster bisque (which was a sort of broth that was a bit spicy with lobster in it, and was good, but not quite what I expected) and lobster bites (which were bits of fried lobster, and they were amazing!). All of the seating was outside, which was nice. This was a nice, celiac safe lobster place!

If you love lobster, this place is a must. I got the traditional lobster roll on a GF bun. It was nice and light, super simple and fresh. French fries are good too.
The menu is rather small and the items are marked with a GF star or a can be made GF star.
So the service is quick But there is a line you stand in to order your food. This line can be long and it's not shaded. If their food wasn't good, I wouldn't stand out there for the 20 to 40 minutes it might take. Once you order, they send you to a table and the food comes out amazingly fast. They bring it to you on cafeteria trays and that's pretty much it.

Yes, it’s all Market Price (MP) but soooooooo delicious! So fresh! And items like fried lobster bites and chicken tenders for the land-lubbers that are prepared GF. I would go back.

Be prepared to drop $100 for a party of two lol. Other than that, it was great! I actually only had a whole fresh lobster here, with steamed corn and a fresh garden salad. They are super aware of cross contamination and take necessary precautions. Will get the lobster roll next year- try to go on off hours it gets pretty packed!!!

This place was a great experience… you choose your own lobster and can hold the lobsters in the tank by the ordering counter. The staff was super friendly and engaging. It’s a great location on a working lobster pier with a view, but they don’t get their lobsters from that pier. There are a lot of neat lobster facts on signs around the restaurant.
I took their advice to order a full lobster, which was probably a mistake, but I got the “full experience.” If you don’t know how to crack a lobster, it would probably be better to go with a lobster roll or another item on the menu. The lobster itself was cooked perfectly and very tasty.
They have a separate fryer for gluten free, and the French fries were good. They had a lot of fried seafood options available as well, though we didn’t try them.

This restaurant is gluten free, except for onion rings. We drove all over Acadia National Park. It was a beautiful day, perfect for veiwing Frenchman's Bay on l Mountain. This pier- side restaurant was a perfect finish. I hoped I would taste fried clams again after living in Kansas for decades, but I had lost hope when I found out I have celiac disease. What a blessing to find Beal'siuu. One daughter hates fish, but enjoyed tasting haddock, and clams, and scallops before she ate an entire ba We took the desserts home with us. muscles.

This place is wonderful! So many gluten free options, including lobster bites, fried haddock sammie, French fries and chocolate torte. This has been the best seafood we’ve had on our trip to Acadia. Highly recommend for all celiac friends. They even have GF cider available. 10/10

Carryout counter in front of a large open kitchen, with tons of seating on the top level of a working lobster pier. Frier is completely GF, and then offer fried fish, shrimp, and scallops, plus traditional pot-steamed seafood and some other GF items. Nearly the entire menu is GF. Staff is very knowledgeable, and food is handled very safely. Overall, very good seafood.

Ordered the GF fried haddock and fries for take out. Owners confirmed fryer was GF and the meal was excellent. Best “fish and chips” I have had since being diagnosed with celiac, it was a nice way to enjoy the fresh seafood all around this area. Will be going back before we leave and would definitely recommend to others.

Worth a trip to Maine to have perfect Celiac friendly fried seafood. Separate GF fryer— do not sleep on the combo platter. Fish was perfect. So friendly and aware of dietary restrictions.
GF bun for lobster roll was dry and bland so I’d skip it, but the homemade potato chips were heaven.

So happy I found this great restaurant on this app. They have GF options clearly listed on the menu. I actually had one of the workers come and check to make sure I got the GF bun for my lobster roll because it looked too good to be true. Outstanding customer service and even better they are pet-friendly. I had an amazing table with a lovely view of the harbor with Acadia in the background. I went around 3 and was able to experience people working on the water taking in their catch, very neat! Could not have found a better lunch spot.

I think I’m going to have to go back and give it another try to see what all the hype is about. Had the lobster bites, they were chewy but the breading was good. Surf and turf was ok, I’ve had better. Fries were cold. I appreciated all the GFree options though and didn’t get sick. We were there during covid time so maybe just off their typical service.
Great lobster and gluten free items. Corn bread was delicious!
Great food and the staff was knowledgeable!

Met one of the owners when I asked about celiac. He said that multiple family members have celiac and many others only eat gluten free. Great to know! They’re so careful they even brought my son’s corn on the cob separately to make sure it wasn’t cross contaminated.

Gluten-free buns and rolls are available. The staff is very concerned about GF. Of course, the lobster is gluten-free.
Tasty food. Dedicated fryer for clams and fries! All gluten free items are marked with a Star. The cornbread is great too.
Loved this place. Super knowledgeable about cross contamination. I had lobster, gf cornbread, corn and amazing crab dip. Highly recommend.
