They have a 'Gluten-Sensitive' menu. Not large but a decent selection of non-pasta Italian dishes. Salads are great. No GFree pasta or pizza. Really good wine selection. Cider and spirits.
Staff seemed knowledgeable and food was good. Have eaten there several times
Had a wonderful experience there a few months ago where the manager took care of me and everything as I would write a review for my blog. HOWEVER, after trying to order from there again, I was horrified to learn that they had no idea what the GF options were and were shocked when I asked for the cauliflower crust. Needless to say, I will not be going back there again and I am extremely disappointed
Recently expanded their menu to now included GF cauliflower crust pizza. It’s pretty good. Well rounded Gf menu for a chain. There are plenty of salad options, a soup daily and multiple entrees. If I had to choose, I’d take Carraba’s (or any non-chain) over here any day, but if this is close it’s certainly doable.
Ordered the gluten free pizza. When I picked it up it was a wheat crust. They said they would remake it. I watched the pizza cook use tongs and pull the topping off the wheat crust and drop it on the gluten free crust. Had I not watched the I would have been glutened. Will not eat here again.
They are a disaster! We preferred online off the GF menu and arrived 40 minutes later when our order was supposed to be ready only to find out that they “didn’t have the ingredients to make GF pizza.” What’s the point of having a GF pizza menu if you aren’t going to make the GF dough. They didn’t even call to let us know they couldn’t make half of our order. They charged us upon pick up and then had to reverse all the charges bc they didn’t even know what they had made. Won’t go back again
They have a gluten free menu. I'm NCGS and was very concerned when some of the items had the words "gluten sensitive" next to them. However I had a cauliflower pizza which was delicious and the cloudless chocolate cake that was like fudge.
I ordered the chicken Marsala. It was good half way through finishing my plate I found a piece of pasta on it. I told them I needed gluten free when I ordered. The manager himself made me a new plate and took it off the bill. Just make sure to stress. Gluten free. We we notified a waitress that wasn’t ours and there were no questions asked she went yeah that’s not right and got her manger.
I am a vegetarian and have other allergies and the only option was a salad that wasn’t even that good. I don’t think I’m ever going back
I ate half my eggplant dish, started to feel sick... and found a piece of pasta. Do not eat here if you need your meal to be gf safe, the menu says for gluten sensitive, but I wouldn't even rate it safe for that-if I could give them a zero, I would.
Horrible. Said on the phone they took Celiac seriously but when we got there they seemed surprised that we wanted GF. Limited options. My son is 11 and they were offering salmon as one of the only options. Pizza and pasta are their selling points. Didn't offer either and did little to accommodate. We had to stay for a variety of reasons. My son and I did not eat. Went to chipotle instead. Ugh. (Though we love chipotle).
Had no gluten free other than salad! Called multiple days to see if they actually had gf pasta like it's listed on the menu, but no! Do not reccomend!!
Food was okay, server was nice but not knowledgeable. She offered me bread and butter several times, despite my efforts of informing her of my gluten and dairy intolerances/allergies. Ordered the farmhouse salad, which make sure you ask for no pepperoni because pepperoni contains gluten despite it being on the menu. Then after the meals the server asked if we wanted "warm chocolate chip cookies with gelato." Would not rush back, for it feels like an unsafe gf environment.
Got "glutened". They keep their "GF" sausage soup right next to the pasta soup and I found pasta in my sausage soup! I do NOT recommend Bertucci's if you're a Celiac! True Celiacs should avoid this place! Celiac Sprue disease is an auto-immune disease and NOT an "allergy" and should never "cheat" with gluten. Ever!
My "gluten free" dinner had be throwing up before I even got out of the restaurant. They definitely do not care or consider the severity of Celiacm
I have celiac disease. I regularly go to this location for lunch and get soup and salad. Sausage soup is right next to the one with the pasta, but I have never had a bad experience with the soup. Salad has never hurt me either. I did venture outside of my safety net once and try the risotto, and felt terrible afterward, so I'm not entirely comfortable with their food handling practices. But if you need a soup and salad this is a pretty safe bet. Just make sure you mention your "allergy".
I have never been so upset with service at a restaurant ever. I understand that mistakes happen, however I told the waitress before I ordered that I had a gluten allergy and ordered a salad from the GF menu. I had to return the salad due to a crouton in it. When I returned it the waitress acted so insulted and when she brought a different salad said it was only a "little speck" of a crouton. I didn't feel that they understood the seriousness of Celiac Disease.
Ate here a while back. Their website says Gluten Free Menu but in the restaurant they give you a Gluten Sensitive Menu. spoke to the waitress about ha in celiac disease and she was knowledgeable because she claimed her father has celiac disease. She ensured proper precautions would be taken. Unfortunately I had a reaction from eating here and was sick for a few days. wouldn't recommend eating here. Not a safe environment for a celiac.
They have a gig certified gf menu but eating here is very unsafe. Some servers are knowledgeable and friendly...others know nothing and are nasty. I don't get why restaurants who take the time to have a gf menu would not take the time to properly train the staff. Found a crouton in the gf salad after a manager "safely" prepped our meal. Won't go back.
My mom and I went here hoping for some gf pizza or pasta or flatbread or something, but the gf menu is what you would find anywhere else - chicken, steak, salmon. While waiting for our food we almost broke down when they set up the pizza for the next table right in front of us in all of its gooey deliciousness. Then when our antipasto platter came (ordered off the gf menu) it had a huge loaf of bread on it. When we said something the waitress just took it off the plate. We were so hungry at this point we ate it anyway, but clearly they're not very knowledgeable or sensitive. The food was pretty good, but Celiacs, don't bother - it's not worth it.
so they literally have the worst gluten free menu i have ever seen, if youre a picky eater this place is NOT for you. it wouldnt be hard to have gluten free pasta but they would rather serve a crappy piece of chicken oh well. but they are nice about it
