Really not safe, even by a pizza restaurants standards. Wouldn't reccomend eating here. I've tried a blaze a while ago in Florida and they took allergies very seriously and had a separate prep area so I thought I would try it even though I was nervous. They don't take cross contamination seriously or understand allergies at all. They were about to apply tomato sauce to my gluten free crust using the same container where they rub the ladle all over the gluten-y crusts. I had to stop them and ask if they had another sauce to use. To which they seemed annoyed even though it was hardly busy. The chances for cross contamination seem EXTREMELY high if not unavoidable. I'd recommend that no celiacs should come here to eat.

This is NOT the place to eat safely. They process the dough on a common machine. Cross contamination is very high. I’m waiting for the fallout from being glutened tonight.

While Blaze as a chain offers GF options, and some locations may have good protocols, I would not trust this particular location AT ALL. They are always understaffed, randomly closed some days due to staffing. Sometimes they will only accept online orders. Sometimes they turn online ordering off. It can take an hour sometimes to get a pizza there. I hardly trust them to make a gluten-full pizza correctly and not burn it… definitely wouldn’t trust them to take the care needed for GF. Until this place gets better management, I would avoid it!
I was so surprised to see Blaze with negative reviews for Celiac friendly. You have to let them know it’s an “allergy” issue and they change gloves AND bring all separate ingredient bins out from the back on a cart that have not been cross contaminated. Pizza cooks on a pan and they have different pizza cutting utensils for items marked allergy. They have two kinds of GF crust (cauliflower I don’t care for- regular gf is great!) We (two sons and I both Celiac ) eat here all the time. They also have really good vegan/dairy free cheese option that we all love. Blaze rocks :) YOU JUST HAVE TO TELL THEM.

Consistently made me sick after...tons of cross-contamination because toppings are shared between GF & non-GF pizzas. They do change gloves & use a separate spoon to put sauce on & something under the GF pizza when it goes in the shared oven. Do not eat here if you are celiac!
No
Definitely not celiac friendly, but for those who are simply intolerant and aren’t as concerned about cross-contamination, this is a good tasty option for a crispy thin crust (non-Udi’s) pizza. They do offer to change gloves, and the crust is placed on a special mat of some sort before going in the oven. But there’s a lot of contamination with the handling of the toppings.
Great thin&crispy GF crust and fresh toppings. Esp love their fresh mozzarella. I feel secure w/Dedicated: GF dough press, GF base tomato sauces, GF baking pan, & they change gloves. I've eaten here 10+ times, never got sick. I have severe Gluten Intolerance. Though there are 2 minor risks for cross-contamination bc shared Fire Oven (if gluten floats?) and the Toppings (finger tips of gloves sometimes touch the gluten dough as spread ingredients then they reach into next ingredient container). It's so delicious, I'm glad I took the risk.
Their oven is not safe. There is significant cross contamination.

I was at the one in holly springs. There is no way you can avoid getting cross contaminated. We boxed mine up for muggles to eat because I'm not.
Too many chances for cross contamination, both in the dough and also toppings.
No
Thanks to my favorite local gluten free baker for recommending this place for me.
So this is a pieology style place but the main differences are: in store made GF crust and a very strict adherence to ensuring a minimization of cross.
Staff really cool and knowledgeable about their product.
I am cows milk dairy free as well as any have tomatoes on top of being very strict about being GF. They made me a great pizza.
The only thing they weren't sure of was the pepperoni. But there was plenty other toppings.
they change gloves and put a protector tray under the dough; however, it is pressed on the same machine so the top is not protected.
A separate sauce container and utensil is also used. lots of cross contamination possible however with all the toppings. The gloves used to touch the wheat dough also reach into the toppings. while they change gloves to make your pizza the wheat contact gloves have already contaminated the toppings.
definite reaction after eating.

Excellent restaurant that goes to great lengths to ensure a gluten free dining experience. cooks changed gloves and separate utensils and cooking materials were used for my pizza. They have a diverse array of toppings to choose from, all of which were fresh and delicious.
I highly recommend Blaze Pizza for my fellow celiacs. The staff is knowledgeable and careful about our gluten "allergy."
Great gluten free option. They try their best to be truly gluten free, but I'm not sure they're 100%. Closer to 90%
I have been to Blaze restaurants that use precautions in preparing GF pizzas. This isn’t one of them. We ordered 2 GF pizzas for my daughter and I, and the fellow (not his fault, obviously had no training) took two of the cooking discs out of a pile of flour from the regular station. He put our GF dough on top of the flour covered discs. We apologized for the inconvenience and left. Blaze is in general a terribly run franchise system. Very disappointing.

They have great gluten free crust. It’s especially good if you ask for it well done as it helps get it more crispy. They are pretty good at changing gloves and asking if it is an allergy.

This location had been good in the past and made sure to take precautions including getting fresh toppings but not so great the past year. I’ve tried multiple times to go back and every time over the past year, I have walked out without ordering as they make me extremely uncomfortable. Every time I go they have a change in staff. When I ask about celiac friendly, they advise they change their gloves, have a gf dough, and have a separate “allergy” sauce, but they WILL NOT use separate toppings. So therefore you will be glutened. When I’ve inquired but getting fresh toppings they have advised they can’t do that. If you try this place be TAKE CAUTION.
They offer a Gluten free option but sadly there's a high risk of cross contamination. There are very few employees that care enough to acknowledge your celiac concerns and use ingredients separate from the front counter. I've been to this location twice and the 2nd time was the awful experience that made me stop going.

Excellent pizza! I had the regular GF crust and it was quite tasty. I also have to give them credit for switching out the crust twice when they pulled them out and they had small rips in the bottom. They said it was already fragile, so they wanted a good one. Excellent customer service!
