Great Tex-Mex place. Celiac Safe. A great port if the menu can be made gluten free. Avoid the flour tortillas and chili con carne but chips are in a dedicated fryer and the queso is gluten free as well. The steak fajitas were awesome here. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender, and lean.

They told us upon seating that everything is GF besides the sopapillas, flour tortillas, and chili con carne. My daughter got the ginger lime tacos, described as fried tilapia, and the server verified that it was GF. When they came out, the fish actually looked grilled and was delicious. I ordered the tacos frescos, described as blackened tilapia. I took one bite and realized the fish was breaded with a very fine breading. I thought maybe the kitchen just mixed up our two taco orders (but still both GF), but decided to ask the waiter about the breading. He brought out the breading container and it was 100% wheat. I was very upset, and he got the manager. They said they are all taught to say only those three items contain gluten, despite breading my GF “blackened tilapia” with wheat. They took the dish off of our ticket, but we had to pay for the rest of the food that we didn’t eat due to fear of contamination and misinformation.

I noticed there was inconsistent information about this place so I called ahead. They told me the queso is gf, and all corn tortillas and tortillas chips are made in-house in a dedicated fryer. They noted that the tacos cirados (which are basically flautas) were not gf as they go in the flour-contaminated fryer. I’d still be careful though until they are able to give consistent info to everyone. The food was good and the staff was nice!

Wonderful food! Almost their whole menu is or can be made gluten free. We had their chips and salsa and then I got their enchiladas with chicken and rice. Neither gave me any issues. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with our restrictions. We would definitely come back here next time we find ourselves in the area.

Margarita flight was amazing

The indication that the “only” things with gluten as flour tortillas, sopapillas, and Chile con carne is deceiving. After ordering, our server returned to inform us that items I ordered (crispy tacos and enchiladas) were not in fact gluten free because both are made in a shared fryer with flour/gluten items. (Chips are in a dedicated fryer). It seems that they either don’t really understand or don’t care to communicate clearly on their website. If you’re sensitive to cross contamination, make sure to ask all the right questions or just avoid this place all together. Our particular server was very responsive, but I didn’t get the impression that’s true for everyone else working there.
