The indication that the “only” things with gluten as flour tortillas, sopapillas, and Chile con carne is deceiving. After ordering, our server returned to inform us that items I ordered (crispy tacos and enchiladas) were not in fact gluten free because both are made in a shared fryer with flour/gluten items. (Chips are in a dedicated fryer). It seems that they either don’t really understand or don’t care to communicate clearly on their website. If you’re sensitive to cross contamination, make sure to ask all the right questions or just avoid this place all together. Our particular server was very responsive, but I didn’t get the impression that’s true for everyone else working there.
They don’t have a GF Menu… BUT chef came out and spoke with me. 97% of their menu is gf. Chips are cooked in a dedicated fryer. They use gf soy sauce in their fajita marinade. I had chicken enchiladas with tomatillo salsa and they were amazing. Overall excellent experience, I will absolutely dine here again.
This is my go to restaurant for Mexican food in Fort Worth. It is so good!! Everything is gf except flour tortillas and the chili con carne sauce (I believe). I have eaten here over 10 times and never had any cross contamination. And the chips are safe too because they use their own fryer!!!
The food was so delicious and everything is GF except flour tortillas or anything containing flour. Our waiter TJ was the absolute best, I let him know of my celiac and he checked to make sure the rice, beans and sour cream was GF. He even switched my meal to lime rice & black beans because he wanted to make sure it was GF. The elote is also to die for, and the chips have a dedicated fryer. I got the enchiladas and didn’t get sick! Highly recommend, atmosphere is very nice too!
The Mexican food here is so good. Nothing necessarily dedicated GF, however they are surprisingly knowledgeable (have been several times now and same with ever server) about what is and is not gluten free. Enchiladas, chips (in a dedicated fryer) & queso, nachos, and some other options are safe for my very sensitive celiac wife. Enough to choose from to have a safe and delicious Mexican food experience.
Finally!!! We are able to eat TexMex again! Chips are GF cooked in dedicated fryer. Plenty of GF options. Kitchen aware of cross contamination. My Celiac wife had sour cream enchiladas, refried beans and rice with no reaction. Staff are knowledgeable about gluten and provide great and friendly service.
