If being gluten free is a requirement and not a choice, then don't go to Bread Winners. I called ahead and was told that I could find several gf options, so I planned a lunch with friends. The hostess and waitress confirmed that ordering gf wouldn't be a problem. When I asked the waitress specific questions regarding menu options, she had no idea what was/wasn't gf. The manager briefly came over to answer one question and left. I placed an order but asked the waitress to confirm that it would be gluten free. At that point the chef came to the table and explained that everything is prepared using shared cooking surfaces. They might offer gf bread, but everything they prepare will likely have gluten.
The only gluten free options provided are the buns for the burgers and the sandwiches. If you want to sub fruit instead of a gluten-laden side, it is an extra dollar. I can't justify spending $2 extra for a modified meal with cross contamination when prices are already high.
Restaurant had Gf buns (not that great) but didn’t feel well after so guessing there was cross contamination.
My gf said this is the best veggie sandwich she’s ever had
