I went to Browns today for lunch and they were sooo amazing! I told my waitress I was celiac and she made sure it was taken seriously. I even ordered a drink that contained vodka and she came to ask me if the brand they used was ok.
I loved that the gluten friendly options were clearly marked on the menu. It does state that they can’t guarantee 100% gluten free so if you are very sensitive, you may want to be careful. However, I did not feel any symptoms afterwards, not even a little bloat.
There was even a gluten free dessert option which I find is rare!
Some gluten free options on the menu. Food was very tasty.
I am always a little bit skeptical about chain restaurant offerings, but I’ve increasingly found they give proper attention to allergies these days. Quite a few tempting offerings available, though the fryer is shared so be advised. BUT… the Potato Crusted Cod with jasmine scented rice and a kale salad with a sweet vinaigrette and dates, etc, was an absolutely delicious dinner! Like eating great fish and chips but with a really healthy bent. They prepared the salad without the croutons. Staff were knowledgeable about gluten issues and the kitchen followed through. We will be back, as my wife’s gf southwest chicken salad was equally delicious!
Very knowledgeable about cross contact. They have good GF buns or lettuce wraps to sub for the burgers..
Unfortunately, the fries are not made in a dedicated fryer, but the house salad is delicious.
There is a GF brownie for dessert!
The staff were knowledgeable and they have a dedicated gf fryer
