Buddy’s is always our family’s favorite! After my daughter’s diagnosis, I was thrilled to find they were on the list of safe spots for Celiac! She has never had a bad reaction and we get pizza from here at least once a month. She also eats the Greek salad and is perfectly fine. They are known to be very careful!

They are a great gluten friendly place. Very careful about contamination. They put my pizza on top of aluminum foil and let me cut my own pizza so there was no cross conversation and the pizza tasted amazing!

Great experience. My server knew what celiac disease is and was able to convince me that the toppings were safe from cross-contamination. I really enjoyed my pizza and did not feel sick later.

I ordered a gluten free pizza, emphasizing the importance of it being made completely gluten free. I was told it would be, but was instead given a regular (not gluten free) personal size pizza by mistake. I found this out after I had already consumed the pizza. I was sick for hours. Be careful.

Average food and average service. Nothing great to write about.

Visited the Novi location recently. Buddy's is THE best pizza but they did a fantastic job trying their best to recreate their famous deep dish, Gluten Free style. We used our Nima Tester to confirm our GF pie was in fact GF. It made our day to say the least. Our server was very thorough, confirming everything in our order and bringing out the GF food separately. So eat with confidence! Also, their salads are fabulous (minus the croutons of course)!

Their pizza was delicious! It was served uncut and on foil. No sign of illness! :-) It was even good reheated....which so far is the only GF pizza I’ve ever had that was any good reheated!

Celiac friendly! Separate prep area and they bring your pizza on tin foil on a plate so it doesn’t touch the plate, they also don’t cut the pizza for you, they leave it uncut and give you a pizza cutter to do it yourself. Very low risk of cross contamination

Best GF pizza I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Very accommodating and careful about allergies / Celiac. Made pizza wrong first time but didn’t even bring it out because they caught it. Offered me an antipasto salad in the meantime which was great also.

Wow! The first gluten-free pizza I've had that wasn't thin crust and tasted delicious! I didn't feel sick at all. They also offer Red Bridge gluten free beer and angry orchard cider.

The best pizza. Dedicated area for gf pizza and they don't cut the pizza with their utensils unless you ask. Love this place.

Called before going there. Sadly, they put buttermilk in the crust so I cannot eat it (I have a dairy allergy, too).

Not only am I gf but I'm also dairy free. At a pizza place? No problem here! Gf pizza with vegan cheese. Perfect pizza texture and taste!!! Served on foil with its own pizza cutter since they leave that for you (which I appreciate since that limits cross contamination). Our new regular place for pizza!!

Love this place! The pizza is AWESOME! House made crust...not store bought. Light and crunchy. Cooked on a piece a foil and served with a clean pizza cutter. Highly recommend!!

Love Love Love their gluten free pizza. The crust is so fluffy, not flat. You can also request the do NOT cut it for extra meaure. I've heard they'll do them dairy free as well. Haven't tried that yet.

The gluten free pizza my husband and I had was by far the best we have ever had! The crust was crispy and buttery and the sauce and cheese combination was mouth watering! It was worth the drive from Flint!

AMAZING! This place was so good, knowledgeable and very aware of celiac and precautions. I will 100% visit this place again, and again, and again. It’s not thin crust pizza either, it is Detroit style gluten free. And the pizza is the only gluten free option on the menu.

Buddy’s was awesome! Staff were friendly & totally understood my needs. I was able to get the original Detroiter gluten free & had no issues. I feel so grateful that I could actually participate in a classic tradition despite having Celiac. Absolutely delicious & worth the trip!

The hostess and waiter were not knowledgeable about gluten free precautions but they gladly checked with the kitchen staff. Ordered a gluten free pizza and it came out on tinfoil with its own pizza cutter to limit cross contamination. Very reactive celiac and did not react at all. Pizza was good too. Would return.
