Tried to order gluten free meals at two different locations on Oahu, and both restaurants claimed that they “could not guarantee” the food would not be contaminated with gluten. Essentially they said that they are NOT gluten free.
Tried the pizza a few times and the crust is never fully cooked. I gave up.
I've always loved CPK, and I know the GF crust is not exactly like their regular or even thin crust, but I like it. Pizza crust is a personal thing, so I suggest you try it regardless what any review says. The dishes marked as GF are prepared in a separate area (be sure to tell them you want this). Logistically, they have to limit the items in this area, and I understand that. We are a minority. But my favorite pizzas and salads are all on the list, so I am a happy camper. Now they just need a GF dessert, and it'll be perfect.
yes, they have a gf menu consisting of a few pizzas, but the crust is horrible. when it came to the table, it tasted raw. even after I took it home and reheated it for 30 mins, it still tasted horrible. the rest of their gf items are not guaranteed to be gf despite being listed as gf on the menu.
I know the community feels the same as I do that being able to eat a pizza that tastes amazing and you know is safe is such a rare and amazing thing. It is why we always eat at CPK when we travel somewhere that has one. They only have about 4 pizzas that are validated gf but those are made in a separate dedicated area. My bbq chicken pizza came out marked gf, was delicious and did not give me any issues. I’ve never had any issues with the validated pizzas at any CPK and is one of the only places I feel like I can truly eat safely.
The pizza came out with Gluten Free picks. When I called ahead they said they prepare the pizza in a separate area and the pizzas are cooked on separate aluminum tins. However they are cooked in the same oven but off to a designated side. Neither of my kids got sick after eating here.
