Had lunch here today! Our waitress was SO knowledgeable about what was/wasn’t GF, what was certified GF, and what was just made with no gluten-containing ingredients. Had the pick two lunch deal and I got a 7” bbq chicken pizza that I added pineapple to and an Italian chopped salad. The cauliflower crust was incredible. It was crispy but also had a nice chew to it. The Italian salad was pretty good too! Would definitely recommend.
I went on a 3 week trip near the north-west coast. Had no symptoms so severe as after this restaurant. Assumingly they had gluten free pizza but the waiter just delivered it next to the other pizzas for my family on a tray, almost touching them. I dont know if that was the cause or something else but i definetly got sick. Pizzas were fine, not the best, not the worst. Service was perfect in every dimension exept kindness.
Ate here twice. Chose certified gluten free pizza Margherita. Little overcooked but safely prepared. Good service. Need to chose both a gluten free crust and a pizza variety that is certified gluten free for it to be safe. There was also a gluten free salmon dish which someone else in our party tried and they thought it was good. Very sensitive to gluten and did not get sick after being here. Gluten free pizza marked with a stick/sign on it, so avoiding mix up.
I actually was surprised a pizza kitchen was safe. Only some pizzas and salads can be made gluten free, but the ones that can be are marked on the menu so it’s easy to identify. but they said they have a separate pan they cook it in to prevent cross contamination. When you order, don’t just order the cauliflower crust, say you need the certified gluten free one. If you’d at you have an allergy, food comes out marked with a “gluten free” wooden stick. I felt very safe! The BBQ pizza was delicious!
They are extremely aware of celiac and cross contamination. My server informed me that only the gf pizzas are safe and there are only a few pizzas that are gf. They are made in a dedicated gf space and cooked separately from regular pies I had the bbq chicken pizza and it was fine. Not my favorite dough but works in a bind.
Fantastic. GF Cauliflower crust available for a variety of pizzas. I had no idea it was cauliflower till after I'd eaten it as it tasteless great. Tell them it's gluten allergy and it will be cooked separately, labelled and bought to the table by a separate server wearing gloves. Fab.
The team was very attentive to my questions about avoiding cross-contamination in the gluten free pizzas. They clearly explained their practices, separate ingredients and preparation station, and how they cooked gluten free pizzas in a tin to ensure that it was celiac safe. It was a success and I feel confident returning.
I have eaten here (Downtown SF location) a number of times because I work nearby. It has a dedicated GF pizza oven and they use a separate counter for prep. But stick to the GF items on the menu. If you customize your pizza (instead of sticking to those marked as GF on the menu) some of the toppings may come from the same line as the regular pizza. Just be clear with your server that your food must be GF and ask questions, especially if you are unsure. The staff are trained RE celiac, but people anywhere can make mistakes, or may not really understand the issues. The wait staff are nice and will return items to the kitchen when they make a mistake.
I debated whether or not to leave a review because I didn’t actually chance eating here. I was seated and they did have a “certified GF” pizza menu —although it’s only 3 options of pizza. They also have a cauliflower crust option too. The place was pretty dead as it was a little after 4pm. After more than 15 min the waitress came over and said, “have you been helped yet?” This was very absurd given she was clearly the ONLY waitress. There was one other table besides me dining there. I order the GF pizza. I tell her I have an extreme mushroom allergy. She says she’ll write it down. So things are looking up. Then, she says “would you like bread with your pizza”. Me: “um, I want the gluten free pizza” her: “yeah, but do you want the bread still? It comes with the pizza”. ....Me: umm is it gluten free? Her: no, it just comes with pizza. Me: no, I’m not ordering GF for the fun of it, so I don’t want bread. She walked off to go put the order in. At that point I was too scared of getting mushroomed or glutened so I asked her to cancel the order and I just left. After the first 1/2 hour I wasn’t willing to risk it. If the waitress is that clueless I can’t chance what is communicated to the kitchen.
GF items are clearly labeled. A decent amount of options. Taste is great, as usual.
I’ve never eaten here in person yet, but I’ve ordered off of DoorDash four times with no issues. I order off their Gluten Free menu which they state they take precautions to prevent cross contact and is prepared in its own space based on procedures developed by The Gluten Intolerance Group.
The pizzas aren’t the best but they do hit the spot and is great for people who can’t eat gluten because our pizza options are limited anyways.
They have gluten free labeled on their menu. Specifically for their pizzas they have 5 “validated gluten free” options. These 5 are prepared in a separate area of the kitchen and brought out by a manager and flagged gluten free. The 5 gluten free pizzas are cheese, pepperoni, margherita, mushroom/sausage/pepperoni, and BBQ chicken. The crust is thin and mostly crispy like many other gluten free crusts. Pizza was hot out of the oven.
