Wait staff was very knowledgeable, and the manager stopped by to let us know he was aware of our allergy and the items we ordered would be prepared GF. My daughter had chicken fajitas with corn tortillas, and I had the fish tacos. Food was excellent, but we wished there were more GF options. Would definitely go back.

Great place. Chips are 100% gluten free. Manager was phenomenal. Came to table and personally took care of order. Made braised short rib gluten free....it was delicious. Highly recommend.

The waiter was not knowledgeable about gluten free but went into the kitchen to ask the chef about which foods were gluten free and how safely they were prepared. I got the tortilla soup which was delicious!! Their chips are also cooked in a separate fryer. Overall a good experience.

Giving them 3 stars because this place has always been one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the city and what I believe happened was an isolated incident. I noted the fajitas weren’t marked GF so I asked if they could be made GF. Our server originally said no but then came back a few minutes later and said yes the kitchen can modify to be GF. Great, right? So I ordered and when they came out I took 2 bites of the tortilla and realized it was flour (I thought it was white corn). I flagged the server who confirmed they were flour so then I asked why if I ordered the dish to be GF. Her response was that only the chicken was modified to be GF and they come with flour tortillas. I guess I was supposed to specify that I needed corn tortillas. However I thought common sense would prevail here and that would be an automatic modification. So I guess just be extra diligent when ordering. Chips are fried in a dedicated fryer and margaritas are delicious at least.

Super yummy fresh corn tortillas. Beef barbacoa tacos were quite good. Would definitely return.

Knowledgeable about gluten and cc. Had chips with queso and guacamole, both were awesome. Limited gf lunch items but had chicken fajitas, with one of the best corn tortillas i have ever had.

Great food and very aware of gluten. My daughter has celiac and is very sensitive and she had no reactions!

The food here is absolutely fantastic! Chips are Celiac safe as is the queso. Regular menu with GF items marked. There were several great options. Would definitely eat here again.

Their menu has changed and many things that we were once GF are no longer. The options for me were limited as I don't eat shrimp and most of the GF dishes were with shrimp. The guacamole was awesome, the service was great, but that was all I had. I could not even eat tacos or fajitas.

Came here after reading FMGF reviews. Upscale Mexican. Best Mexican cuisine ever tasted! Would describe as upscale Mexican. Located in River North area of downtown. Must have 60 + tables, but spacious and can hear yourself talk. Great cocktails (margaritas and Mojitos). Guacamole made from scratch at table- best ever had. More than half of menu is marked as GF friendly. Had a GF Fajita chicken salad w/ black bean, avocado, lime vinaigrette dressing with tortilla strips. Outstanding. Has a kids menu. Would recommend as a date spot and a family friendly place. Can't wait to come back!! Great vibe.

The staff was very knowledgeable, for example you need the pulled chicken not the grilled chicken for gluten free. They have a dedicated fryer so their table tortillas chips are safe. Ate here with no problem and it was delicious!

Great food and options. My two kids and I are all GF, and had no issues following our meal. Their menu I felt could have been more clear, but otherwise awesome! We love being able to eat chips and salsa at a restaurant. We all had chicken fajitas, but they were amazing. Would definitely recommend to others.

The food here is INCREDIBLE! The gluten free selection is a little small but it is still so delicious. The chips are celiac safe and the salsa and queso are amazing!
