Even though everything I ordered was marjed GF... I got violently ill within 2 hours of eating 😯😓😔
Had the best meal there last night. Staff was awesome and very knowledgeable!
Amazing food! Amazing staff! Little hole in the wall that we just happened upon, but truly an experience. Tropical food that we didn’t know anything about, but is a must! Menu is labeled with lots of gluten free options. All desserts are gluten free.
This is a must-stop for gluten-free and celiac visitors to New Orleans! Very knowledgeable, delicious food and great location (within walking distance to Southern Art & WWII museums). I'd love to go back!
The menu is clearly marked and the staff was great and knew about GF options. I had the Curry coconut peanut with shrimp and fish and it was delicious.
Great little place. An easy walk from WWII museum, it has the funky shabby chic vibe going with great food. Loved the chicken salad. And pork plantain dishes. Ended up eating 3 dishes between the two of us. Love it. Very knowledgeable with v, df, and gf offerings.
Fantastic food, several GF options I've never seen elsewhere. Had the Rico: marinated pork and melted cheese on a plantain with a salsa and special sauce. Also had the Brazilian cheesebread, which is made from tapioca flour. It was warm, chewy and cheesy. And absolutely delicious!
They do have a menu however I asked for a drink with a specific rum and they gave me something else when I asked if it was gluten free they checked and said no after I consumed some of it. Yikes.
In town visiting for a few days, so glad we stopped here! If you are gluten-free in New Orleans, this is a must. Really great menu with tons of options. Our waitress was very kind and understanding of the allergy. All the food was amazing. They are really doing a lot of interesting things and flavors here, and any time I am in New Orleans in the future I will stop here at least once. Can't speak any more highly about a restaurant!
Fabulous food, very knowledge staff. Great place for celiacs!
Fantastic flavor! I got the Rico and cheese balls based on these reviews and I am not sorry! Waitress was very kind and attentive to my celiac needs. Fair warning: No air conditioning.
Very good, had the Rico "sandwich" which had a plantain for bread.
Staff was friendly and helpful. I asked extra questions about an ingredient and they brought the package out and ensured me it was celiac friendly. I appreciated the added step, and felt great after the meal.
Amazing, so delicious! Loved the Rico sandwhich, rolls, mixed greens salad, and passion fruit drinks. Would definitely go back.
This place is hipster cool with delicious food! Get a reservation if you plan to come for dinner. My favorite thing was the Esmeralda salad- so delicious !!
We went for lunch so we did not have a waiter. You order at the counter. The open faced pulled pork was delicious. The cheese bread is really cheese balls & it wasn't that great. But every other review says they loved it so maybe the dinner one is different. Really slow moving staff
Menu is clearly marked and waiter was very attentive to dietary needs and happy to make accommodations. Food was fresh and delicious!
Great food! (A blend of Brazilian, Peruvian, creole). Wait staff is very knowledgeable on celiacs and accommodating. Get the GF cheese bread--it's delicious
There are a lot of gf choices on the menu...try the cheese bread it is worth the wait, the Rico is astoundingly good and my husband loved his sandwich (not gf)! We will be back.
interesting and creative, knowledgeable staff
Brazilian style, vegan and gf. super friendly staff and the gf cheese balls are a MUST TRY!
Friendly staff. Lots of GF and dairy free options. Food good.
Fabulous. Split the Rico and their daily special. Definitely get the GF cheese bread!
great staff, very tasty food. great GF knowledge.
Great service, great food. Knowledgeable about gf issues, and everything is listed on the menu. Highly recommended! (Had Rico, seafood gumbo, and l'entrepot.)
Based on other reviews I had the Rico and it was amazing. The flavor of the pulled pork with the other ingredients was wonderful. I also tried the African lentil soup. Very good with some kick. The Passion Fruit juice was excellent too. Friendly staff and Lauren was super helpful knowing I am celiac.
Very good food. GF items marked on menu. Husband and I both really enjoyed our food. Try the cheesy bread balls! You will not be sorry.
Highly recommend! Long wait at lunch time but worth it! Let them know you have Celiac when you order. I got the last order of (regular) Pao de queijo, but they also have a vegan version. Rico was flavorful. Chose the L'Entrepot for a refreshing cocktail. Plenty of options for gluten free, vegan, and those without any dietary restrictions. Would have loved to gone back but had other meal plans set, and they weren't open on Sundays.
Best food! I had the Rico and it was phenomenal but there are plenty of gf and vegan options! Great for severe intolerances and Celiacs, just let the people know at he front!
The staff was amazing, and super friendly. When I ordered I made a comment to my dining partner that I was glad they had GF food, so the girl behind the counter asked me if I had a gluten allergy so she could mark it on my order so the cook would be extra careful. I ordered "The Rico" with pork (I'm pretty sure there was a vegan option too?), and it was absolutely delicious! I wish we weren't just visiting for a few days and actually lived in New Orleans, because this would be my new favorite restaurant!!!!!
Incredible!!! The gluten free options are fabulous! Try the gf Brazilian cheese bread for sure.
I love this place! The Rico was fantastic and the Brazilian cheese bread was off the charts!! This app is saving my life in New Orleans. As a newly diagnosed celiac the first few restaurants I went to were very disappointing. I am now having fun and gaining weight :-)
Awesome place. Great food and fantastic Pao de Queijo. I will be there regularly while in New Orleans
Great food. The Rico was fantastic, and the staff were all friendly and made for a great experience.
Excellent flavor, friendly staff, GF options labeled on the regular menu. I'm celiac and I had a great experience.
This place is unbelievable good. The Rico Sandwich was flavorful and satisfying. I would recommend it to any pork lovers out there. The Brazilian cheese bread was also a treat. Fresh from the oven and pipping hot. Definitely on my list of places to return when I come back for business.
Delicious! GF items clearly marked.
Amazing. The first place I've been where I felt like they understood what gluten free actually means. Best GF shortbread cookies ever. New favorite.
very impressed with the staff's knowledge and friendliness. we will be back during our stay, due to GF friendly menu!!
The servers were adequate and polite but low-key. Not very friendly. They did however have good knowledge of what was in each menu item which would be helpful for people with multiple allergies/intolerance. The food was good and whole the flavor a didn't knock my socks off it was fresh and from scratch which is a plus. Atmosphere was kind of alternative with cool art for sale. Also, lots of galleries nearby if you're a tourist.
Amazing food and easy to read menu. Staff was super chill and did I mention the food was great. Great food.
All very good... Especially the cheese rolls!
I had the black bean soup of the day and the green salad with Dijon dressing. It was wonderful! It was the perfect nourishing meal after a night of being it on ths town. I also had the Brazilian cheese bread.
I had a tuna salad.... phenomenal!!!
