Food is safe but not very good. We really liked the Brazilian cheese bread and the ceviche but the curry and the noodle salad were so salty it was unbearable. Service was attentive though. Insanely expensive. 5 dollars for tofu in the curry... also only four balls of bread for five bucks
Great! Wanted a non fried breakfast and this hit the spot - service quick, staff had enough knowledge to instil confidence and the food was delicious and good value for the quality of ingredients - didn’t get a GF marked menu had to ask server for breakfast. Great vegan food too!
What a great find! The menu is well labeled and many dishes have options to make it vegan or vegetarian. I had the vegan gumbo and Rico dish (with pork), it was very flavorful! My server thought the passion fruit mousse was both GF and DF, but he still checked and found out it was not DF (so sadly I had to pass). They have a fun drink menu too. I would definitely come back!
Great food! I was very impressed. The waitress could answer my questions and explained that they took dietary restrictions seriously. The menu is labeled clearly for each dish and it is easy to understand. I am celiac my family is not. They enjoyed their meals too. We were all very impressed
Let me select some adjectives for this place: wonderful, amazing, eclectic, tasty, different, and best lunch we’ve had in New Orleans. I have the pico (plantain) with pulled pork and it was very flavorful and filling. My wife had the Veggie King and said the sandwich was very fresh and the bread was amazing. I took an order of the GF Brazilian Bread to go and it was very good. I don’t know if I’ll have any adverse effects later but an hour after meal and I’m feeling good and looking forward to bother trip back soon.
Great little place. An easy walk from WWII museum, it has the funky shabby chic vibe going with great food. Loved the chicken salad. And pork plantain dishes. Ended up eating 3 dishes between the two of us. Love it. Very knowledgeable with v, df, and gf offerings.
Fantastic food, several GF options I've never seen elsewhere. Had the Rico: marinated pork and melted cheese on a plantain with a salsa and special sauce. Also had the Brazilian cheesebread, which is made from tapioca flour. It was warm, chewy and cheesy. And absolutely delicious!
In town visiting for a few days, so glad we stopped here! If you are gluten-free in New Orleans, this is a must. Really great menu with tons of options. Our waitress was very kind and understanding of the allergy. All the food was amazing. They are really doing a lot of interesting things and flavors here, and any time I am in New Orleans in the future I will stop here at least once. Can't speak any more highly about a restaurant!
We went for lunch so we did not have a waiter. You order at the counter. The open faced pulled pork was delicious. The cheese bread is really cheese balls & it wasn't that great. But every other review says they loved it so maybe the dinner one is different. Really slow moving staff
