They told us on the phone that chicken wings and corn tortillas were GF but when we went both of these go in the shared frier. We ordered something else but no corn tortillas was disappointing.

The food is excellent. The problem is the lack of gluten free options. Hence the 2 stars. The enchiladas are your safest bet but if you have an extreme gluten sensitivity then don’t even bother trying this place. The over condition of the place is somewhat dirty. The wooden chairs are impossible to clean as are the tables. We still enjoy coming here but they really need to clean the place.

Staff was understanding of celiac and helped me navigate the menu/ told me what to avoid. They told me they couldn’t avoid cross contamination in the frier, so avoid the Yucca fries/ chips/ fried options. I got a chicken enchilada which they told me was fully gluten free. It was really good and I had no issues.

Their shrimp and chorizo tacos are delish but ask for corn tortillas. They know Celiac.

love this place. eat here often! shrimp cocktail is to die for and they always have tacos that fit within my celiac needs!!!

While visiting Nyack New York, I had the pleasure of dinner at Casa del Sol and let me tell you, I was over the moon with the delicious chorizo tacos. They took time to listen to my complicated allergies and accommodated me with smiles and great service. Before I leave town, I plan to come back and indulge in the amazing food and drinks. Thank you so much to the server and kitchen crew for a flavorful treat and a fantastic experience. (They are definitely Celiac friendly!)

Have gluten free options but the food isn't worth the price.

I was very disappointed to learn that the restaurant does not have a dedicated gluten free fryer. I couldn't eat the chips nor have a hard shell corn taco.

I was uncomfortable as soon as I was told the ingredients were gluten free but that it depends on how sensitive I am as far as what I could have...

However, when I said that I had celiac disease, the waitress checked with the chef to make sure that everything I ordered would be gluten free. I wound up ordering a plate of seasoned rice and seasoned, sliced steak (two sides). The waitress said that if I wanted a taco, that perhaps the chef could grill a corn tortilla for me. I think I'll try that next time if the grill isn't contaminated.

I would definitely go there again and that says it all. All a restaurant has to offer is food and service, and this restaurant had both as far as I am concerned.

However, I would definitely make sure that I specified that I had celiac disease and I would not eat anything that was fried in the fryer, including the chips :(

All the wait staff are familiar with gluten free because the owner's son is gluten free but I am not sure that he has celiac disease. Whoever posted that there was a dedicated fryer and dedicated kitchen space, obviously does not have celiac disease because neither of those things are true.

But the kitchen is accommodating and the staff is excellent! I'd recommend it!

Just got 'glutened' here. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone avoiding gluten, especially those with Celiac Disease like me. The food wasn't even that great. I don't know how long it's going to take me to recover.

its ok. not the best Mexican food a little bland

Been in the area for over 10 yrs never walked in this place before but as a new GF foodie I saw it on here. Great selections plus server told me they exclusively use GF flour and can sub in corn tortillas in any dish. She also told me they have a dedicated section as the owners son is GF himself. This may be my new place! Food is good so far

So many gluten free options!! Can substitute corn tortillas for most dishes and use gluten free flour in chicken dishes. Chips are gluten free and there is even gf dessert options!
