Staff is unsure of certain items. Best bet is to use their ziosk located at each table. Go to dietary options and scroll to GF options. Chips are not corn chips (or at least not 100%).
Ordered baked potato soup off the gf menu and they were busy and apparently the soup got cold while waiting for the rest of my table's dishes to be ready so they put flour in it to thicken it. I wondered why it was already mixed up as opposed to the normal garnish on top but didn't think anything of it til I was sick. This location is nasty anyway... every time I've been here there has been food on my silverware still which is not only gross but also dangerous for celiacs.

They have a dedicated gluten free menu but takes a little while to get. I am not sure why they always have to print one. The staff is always great and willing to take extra care of my needs. I have always had wonderful food and never gotten sick. I love the margarita grilled chicken with rice and black beans. They would get 5 stars if it was not for the menu issue I mentioned.
Chili’s online menu lists their gluten free options but the options are mostly burgers without buns…

I'm a newly diagnosed celiac, and this was my first time eating out. I selected Chili's because it has a gluten free menu available online. I was pleasantly surprised at how much they offered. They also clearly indicated which items were cooked on surfaces where food could come into contact with gluten, and they even included which salad dressings were gluten free. We sat at the bar. When I asked the bar tender if their margaritas were gluten free, he knew what I was talking about. He didn't know for sure but thought the sweet and sour mix might have gluten. He was very patient as I figured out my order, and made a note for the cook to be careful. I felt safe eating the ribs, but it's so early in my diagnosis, I'm not sure if I would have symptoms if cross contaminated. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because they don't provide information on their drinks.
Update January 2022: I ordered take out steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. No symptoms! And I have become extremely sensitive to gluten and know when I've been glutened. Also, heard back from corporate, and their presidente margaritas are gluten free! I'll be checking those out soon and will update if my experience says otherwise.
Update September 2022: I have eaten here at least 7-8 times now and have had a positive experience every time, including several times with takeout. I generally get the ribs or steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli or a salad. Still never been glutened.

So I have Lupus and I’ve developed a new problem… Gluten! I didn’t have time to cook yesterday so we tried Chili’s. I looked up the GF menu. Easy and printable! I ordered the Guiltless Margarita Chicken with a side salad, Citrus Balsamic Vinaigrette. So good! I did eat some chips (I couldn’t help myself) which probably explains why my skin is all itchy today. I give Chili’s a 👍🏻
