Ordered baked potato soup off the gf menu and they were busy and apparently the soup got cold while waiting for the rest of my table's dishes to be ready so they put flour in it to thicken it. I wondered why it was already mixed up as opposed to the normal garnish on top but didn't think anything of it til I was sick. This location is nasty anyway... every time I've been here there has been food on my silverware still which is not only gross but also dangerous for celiacs.
They have a dedicated gluten free menu but takes a little while to get. I am not sure why they always have to print one. The staff is always great and willing to take extra care of my needs. I have always had wonderful food and never gotten sick. I love the margarita grilled chicken with rice and black beans. They would get 5 stars if it was not for the menu issue I mentioned.
Asked for Gluten free options, waitress said only salad, couldn’t guarantee anything else
Ordered chicken fajitas off the gluten free menu. They brought out fajitas with a sauce on them. We questioned it and they apologized that the sauce did in fact have gluten in it. Took forever to get new ones. Would NOT recommend!
We ate here tonight. I was assured that they could handle no cross contamination. Needless to say. I got sick before I got home. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am only giving it one star because I have to.
I asked about the gluten free menu. I was showed the Kiosk with the menu. I thought I chose a "safe" meal. The way I felt the next day proved that they don't pay attention when preparing food for peopme with Celiac Disease.
After informing my server of my gluten allergy, and her ‘checking with the kitchen’ to make sure it would be, and the guy who brought the food saying that yes it was gluten free. . . It was not. They tossed my grilled chicken in the same sauce as the breaded chicken and I didn’t realize until I had eaten almost all of it and found a large piece of breading in my chicken.
I had a really good experience here. I was starving, my flight was delayed, so I risked it. Crystal went above and beyond. I am very gluten sensitive as well as allergic to dairy. I sat there for quite a while afterwards waiting for my flight and had no problems with the food or service.
Host said they don’t have gluten free options.
I didn't go to this chillis but the usher told us there wasn't much FOR SURE gluten free options. So we headed over the califonia pizza kitchen instead where they had gluten free califlour crust instead. So I can't really rate it.
Not celiac safe. They have a gluten friendly menu, but there are no precautions, no dedicated fryer or kitchen space. The gluten friendly menu is nothing more than the regular items that have no gluten ingredients. Ex: Hamburger without bun, Cesar salad no croutons, grilled chicken, ect... They readily admit that cross contamination is pretty much all but guaranteed. If you have celiac or are highly sensitive, do not go here.
I don’t typically eat at Chili’s because of so much cross contamination, but was traveling and needed something. Decided on baked potato soup and Caesar salad. Both listed gf on menu. Waiter asked if it was an allergy. He made sure to request they mix salad in a clean bowl and said he watched them make it himself to make sure it was right. 3 stars because of limited choices but felt the staff understood the need for no cross contamination.
5 stars because our waiter was OUTSTANDING! If you ever go there ask for Rob. Looks like he’s in his 20s, but he was amazing! He also has celiac and will tell you ALLL You need to know. I love their loaded potato soup, ribs, and mashed potatoes. ASK FOR ROB!!! Tell him there is a good review about him!
Have eaten off the gluten free menu here several times and have never had a problem! They mark what may have cross contamination on their online gluten free menu and the servers are super nice about it and very knowledgeable.
Potato soup was listed as GF and had no issues, but I ordered Caesar salad without croutons. Got the salad and found one in it. Sent it back explaining about cross contamination. They brought another. It also had traces of croutons. Was too afraid to send it back again.
I’m not celiac or allergic to gluten just cannot have it as it worsens my disorder. So I can’t say how celiac or even intolerance friendly it is. However, online they have a gluten free menu and an allergy menu. I also have other dietary restrictions such as nut allergies and milk intolerance and still had quite a few options. I got their 3 for Me carry out deal for an entree with sides, a large drink and an appetizer and had tons of food. Normally when eating out with restrictions I feel like all I can eat are veggies and meat and never get full. I was STUFFED. Will be going back!! My exact order: Grilled Margarita Chicken With black beans And broccoli Appetizer: Chips and salsa Drink: Strawberry Lemonade (no extra charge!) Management Seemed very knowledge as well!
Gluten-free menu available. We had the fajitas with corn tortillas. Delicious! Variety of items, burger no bun, salads, grilled items. Cross-contamination in kitchen possible, but waiter said he tells kitchen GF and they prepare on separate counter. No issue, and my daughter is very sensitive.
It’s a chain restaurant, so you get chain type service. The GF menu is posted online, and is easy to navigate. The servers have a fairly good knowledge of GF menu options. I remind the server at least twice, and I’m adamant that it’s an allergy, not a preference.
Did not know much about Gluten free. I got gluten free streak and mashed potato. I warned them multiple times and still for some reason there was bread on top of my meal. They did not apologize or ask if I wanted anything different
This is a chain restaurant with a GF menu that has some options. I had the 1976 chili tacos. The staff wasn’t too knowledgeable but they were accommodating to my request of glove change. I did not get sick which was nice since I was on vacation.
This location was very clear with me that their food was not gluten free and they could not assure I would be safe. Could not even order a margarita. Ended up drinking a cider and eating somewhere else! They did say the fajitas may be good but not for someone with celiac.
Had just started with a lethal wheat allergy and was quite sad that my wheat life was over. This was the first safe place I was able to eat out at. This Chili’s had a variety in their menu and I was able to eat. Ribeye with loaded mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. Such a basic, but so tasty, yet GF meal. It’s a definite go-to for me. 😋
Ordered food to go. Had the ribs with bbq sauce, corn and mashed potatoes. Also ordered a side salad no croutons. I specified I was ordering from the Gluten Free menu. Entree was great. Salad had a hidden crouton. 🙄Luckily I found it before eating it. Servers/kitchen needs educating that celiac customers can’t just have the croutons picked out. Don’t be lazy and make a fresh salad.
My Celiac son order the fajitas with corn tortillas specifically telling the server he had Celiac. He ate one and half before my husband who had taken him there noticed they were flour tortillas and not corn. She said it was the kitchens mistake and apologized profusely however the damage was done. They tried to make up for it by taking the meal off the bill and gave them a $20 gift card but we will never go back with that kind of carelessness. Be very careful if you go.
I told the waiter I have celiac when I made my order, and a few minutes later the manager came out and said she also has celiac, and is going to make my food to make sure it’s safe. She told me to ask if she (her name is Sunshine) can make my food whenever I come back. Also, the ziosks at the tables have allergen menus on it, and includes cross contamination as a category!
If I could give zero stars I would, but it’s making me give at least a 1 star rating. I recently became gluten free after learning I had an auto immune disease. I’ve been terrified of going out to dinner but after 3 months of eating strictly at home, went out on a dinner date with my husband. I did my research, looked at the menu ahead of time, told my server I was gluten free, ordered off the gluten free menu. Ordered the grilled chicken fajitas (corn tortillas). I ate 2 1/2 of my delicious fajitas before the waitress came back and told me they gave me flour tortillas by mistake. This is why we just should stay home
DO NOT eat here if you have Celiac! just left and I am already hurting and getting a headache. Told the server I have celiac and ordered off the gluten free menu. After eating a bit of it I could feel my stomach churning. I told the server to let management know they need to take those items off the gluten free menu. They still charged me for them and didnt even apologize. The hostess seemed like the only knowledgeable person there so because of her I gave them a 2 instead of 1
Be cautious because their corn chips are fried with their breaded items, making them exposed to gluten. It is listed as gluten free on their menu, and the wait staff has always said they were gluten free. But during our last visit, one staff member was nice enough to tell us how they are prepared.
Went to the chili’s in terminal E. Staff seemed confused with my requests but luckily it was easy enough to find their gluten friendly menu online. Please note that online menu also states that cross contamination is possible here. Though they add blue * to show items that are cooked with items with gluten. Food was as expected okay and not the cheapest but such a find in the airport when options are limited.
Ok, so I read the reviews and decided to try it out anyway. As stated , the only copy of the GF menu was lost. I asked to see the manager who was as very helpful. She could not guarantee that any chicken or meat would not be cross contaminated and suggested the salads. Not wanting a soggy salad I requested the dressing on the side. I had the Caribbean salad without chicken or shrimp. The manager added extra oranges and cranberries. I did not get sick.
Beware of this place. If you tell them you can’t have gluten, they’ll still serve you something with gluten in it. I’m not sure they really understand . I’ve tried going there more than once and each server thinks they know what they are talking about. I won’t go back as it’s not worth getting sick every time.
Asked for the fajitas with corn shells of course and there were very compliable. Even went as far as getting the manager to say that they would be sure to put it through the oven with a clean pan so I wouldn't get sick. Very thankful.
Service was great, I got a to go order of the Margarita chicken, it wasn’t until I was half way into the chicken I realized it appeared to have been put onto a bead of rice and taken off and put into my to go container therefore being cross contaminated. So even though I had expressed I had a “gluten allergy” (way faster to explain than celiac), the kitchen staff didn’t seem to understand how sensitive that much of a cross contamination can be. I did get sick, and it appears only due to a slight contamination I didn’t get destroyed, but still enough to be noticeably glutened.
