My first time eating here after diagnosis with celiac, and they changed all the safety boxes for me -- washed hands and switched gloves, and got my hand-picked ingredients from a fresh bin. No complaints!

So here is the thing. When I was standing in line, I saw them scoop rice from the bowl and repeatedly touch the spoon against a wheat tortilla then put it back in the rice bowl. This continued for the meats and the beans. So when I was up to order, I asked that they take my food from new containers in the kitchen. They said that their allergy protocol was to change gloves, wipe the counter down and bring new containers of cheese and lettuce. I let them know that the rice, meat, and beans were all contaminated because the spoon kept touching wheat. They still said no. I talked to a manager who finally relented.
I emailed Chipotle and they apologized and said that the restaurant should have honored my request. I think Chipotle is safe for Celiacs if food is taken from new containers. If not, it is not safe
No
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
Went to the new one in Dover. Told them I have a gluten allergy and just asked that she change her gloves. The whole line changed their gloves, washed their hands and wiped down the whole counter. They are great!!

The staff here didn’t miss a beat. Without asking they wiped down all the work surfaces, informed me that all options excepting the soft tortillas were gluten-free. They took cheese and lettuce from a fresh bin and changed all gloves before helping.
Great service, conscientious employees and wonderful experience.

Very knowledgeable about Celiac. Changed their gloves, brought out fresh condiments in case of cross contamination.
Not safe for extremely sensitive people.
I love chipotle. Gluten free accomodations can be easily made with their burrito bowls which are made with cilantro lime rice, salsa, lettuce, chicken or beef (optional), and guacomole (even though it is a little bit of extra money, however if you order vegetarian you can get it for free). Chipotle is fast food but they are famous for their efforts to get humanely raised meat and fresh vegetables free of GMO's. This isnt a good place for celiacs because they are not careful enough with cross contamination, but if you just have a gluten allergy, this is the place to go!
I told the server I was gluten intolerant and she changed her gloves, wiped down the counter, and made sure no one else touched my food. And it was a very, busy time. I was very impressed. Oh and the food was yummy too!
I got sick when I ate here. They seem too busy to be careful

We went to order take out and as soon as my hubby said gluten allergy, all the line staff took off gloves, washed hands and removed without us even having to ask. They were super cautious and I thanked them for their knowledge and attention to it. We had bowls and a hardshell taco.

I have been getting food from this chipotle and they’re usually super good about it, just make sure to say that’s a strong gluten allergy and get a bowl. They’ll change utensils, wash their hands, and I even recommend asking them to get white rice from the back (bc rice is the closest to get cross-contact gluten from the flour tortillas.

I have never had an issue eating at any Chipotle location. The staff is always willing to change their gloves before making my bowl. The tortilla chips are also in a separate fryer so I order chips to go with my steak, beans, and rice bowl. I love Chipotle!!!
