Messages this restaurant through Facebook asking about GF options. Some friends had asked to take us here. Jenny responded and stated there could accommodate with some Items and if I asked for her specifically she’d take care of me. The grilled shrimp and salmon are sage. They said they cleaned an area of the grill, due to cross contamination, to ensure it was ok. I ordered the salmon w/loaded baked potato. Had peanuts to snack on, similar to TX Roadhouse. The salmon was amazing! Smoked and huge portion served with a raspberry chipotle sauce. Very accommodating, friendly, service. We did call ahead on a Saturday night, hour wait so make sure to do that! The waitress’ best friend also has celiac so she was aware of issues. She even asked if rolls could be at the table.
Ordered a salad with no croutons or onions and added sirloin and asked for blue cheese dressing on the side. Menu indicated salad is made with mixed greens. Got back to hotel with no blue cheese dressing only crumbled blue cheese and salad was made with iceberg lettuce. They did manage to not include onions or croutons
The staff and cook was very knowledgeable about gluten. Felt safe. No reaction.
In the few times I’ve been here it’s been difficult but not impossible. If a manager is there I recommend asking for a manager to walk through allergies with because they’re more knowledgeable. The “gluten free menu” just a list of all their ingredients and sides with their list of allergens so you have to cross check with the menu. I normally end up with chicken and a potato. You have to be pretty clear with the waitstaff about the allergy and what that entails as far as cooking but they are always friendly, receptive, and cautious.
