The website has a printable gluten-"friendly" menu (which means "there are non-gluten ingredients but you're on your own for cross-contamination"). It says that scramblers can be made gluten-free by simply omitting the toast, so I did so, and the toast came out on the plate anyway. They either don't have allergen procedures or aren't following them, but either way, I'm not coming back.
They have many GF options! Their website clearly states all that is gluten free. The gluten free sandwhiches are amazing!
I was skeptical but the staff seemed willing to accommodate.
I had a scramble with gluten free bread, which was a nice touch. It was good bread and the food was good - but nothing amazing.
I admit I am not certain about the risk of CC though they said they would be cautious. I didn’t feel sick or have issues, but I am hit or miss on my response. If I was home (I am a traveller) I may not have taken the risk but was starving and on the run.
I would go back in a pinch perhaps, but not sure it’s the safest or best option in DC!
