It was wonderful! The older Hispanic gentleman took the time and initiative to wash his hands and change his gloves as soon as I mentioned that I would be ordering a gluten free meal! I didn’t even have to ask!
All I had to do was say that I couldn’t have gluten cross contamination and the staff immediately changed their gloves and washed their hands. Without me needing to ask, they grabbed some food from the back for me that hadn’t been touched yet. The staff was very well educated and super nice about it all! Everything except for the tortillas and a few desserts are gf.

From their allergen list: We have worked diligently to remove wheat gluten from all our sauces, dressings, and proteins. Natural glutens remain only in our flour and wheat tortillas and in two desserts--tres leches and key lime pie. This means that we offer "oceans of gluten-free options" in our menu. All of these items are gluten-free: all enchiladas, all tacos, all salads (without the flour or wheat tortilla), all nachos, and our chicken tortilla so up...which uses corn strips.

I enjoy getting Costa vida on occasion this location does a good job. They take precautions to avoid cross contamination and I really like the sweet pork salad.
I have Celiac and never gotten sick there. Their staff and managers are great about avoiding cross contamination as much as they possibly can. You just need to let them know and they will instantly wash their hands and change their gloves.

I'm extremely sensitive and have eaten here multiple times and never gotten sick!
You could see cross contamination in everything. Thankfully I didn’t have my kids with me, they would have gotten extremely sick. I am not quite as sensitive and will survive
I love Costa Vida, and when I learned that I had celiacs I was devastated thinking I couldn’t eat there anymore I was devastated. Learning that they have crafted all of their marinades a d sauces to be gluten-free just thrills me!!
They are very careful if you need gf. They change gloves, wash their hands, and I’ve had no cross contamination.
The bigger lady who took my order made a big deal about having to change her gloves and rolled her eyes. She nodded to her coworkers like I was making her job harder. The food was good but I didn't appreciate the attitude.

I thought it was cool that the employee takes off there gloves and wash their hands to Prepare a meal. Only one person prepares it. Customer services was awesome and my salad was great.
The staff here was very knowledgeable and accommodating to provide an excellent gluten-free meal.
So super impressed with Costa Vida! As soon as we told them we needed gluten free, the employee changed his gloves and he was the only person to handle the food prep (it is usually passed down the line). Love that nearly everything is GF there. It's our new go-to!
This was my first time eating at a restaurant, needing gluten free, and they were so accommodating! They went out of their way to explain their procedures and tell me they have a lot of gluten free customers, so I wouldn't be so nervous. Food was great as well!!

They change their gloves and prepare the food from a separate area. Very knowledgeable and my son has never felt sick after eating here.

Has the nachos with chicken, black beans and cheddar cheese with queso on the side. I have had costa vida in SLC many times but this location was great too. Changed thier gloves when I said I was gluten free and did not have a reaction.
Good knowledge of cross contamination. All the ingredients are GF. They have corn tortillas that they prep and cook in foil to reduce cross contamination .
I got the nachos yesterday- they were good! make sure to ask for the gluten free fryer cause that’s where I messed up 🤢
