A little disappointed with the options here. There is only one entree I can safely eat gluten free at this establishment- Grilled Chicken Tenderloins, with a few safe sides (usually I choose green beans and corn).
GF options are extremely limited here because almost everything is breaded, fried or is thickened with flour.
Cross contamination is possible.
Anyone who is Celiac should not eat here.
Great southern food restaurant. However, the menu at this restaurant did not have GF items marked. I was able to find the allergen menu online before ordering my food and could find what menu items are wheat-free (not marked as “gluten-free”). I had the bbq ribs with southern green beans and sweet baby carrots. All delicious and I did not feel like I missed out on anything except the biscuits and corn bread (which are high in calories so probably a good thing I couldn’t eat them). Several sides and entrée options, and only vanilla ice cream for dessert is GF.
They have a gluten free information book . I went for breakfast and had bacon and fruit. I felt good about that choice and it was healthier than other things I find traveling. The staff was friendly and decor cute. I even bought a toy from the store side. Not my first choice but certainly acceptable and predictable along an interstate
They make biscuits in their kitchen so there is risk of cross contact however if you explain to your server you have to eat gluten free they can make your meal safe. I had 2 eggs over medium, bacon, spicy chicken sausage, & a fruit cup. Didn’t get sick & left full. They have an allergy guide I will make it easy for you..eggs, any meats, & fruit. They have gf snacks in their gift shop, just check labels. We have eaten at many locations on road trips & never had an issue afterwards.
