Salad was served with crackers and biscuits although waitress was told 3 times no crackers..no croutons..no biscuits. She offered to take the crackers off and have the kitchen replace food just where the crackers were. NO! Hubby had salad for late dinner.

"I was told by the hostess to tell you server that you are gluten free and then they will bring the manager to speak to you. When you order the manager will flag your order for extra precaution."

Update: 4/2016 Ask for a gluten free menu... They have one- in the nutritional information guide. Servers very nice and understanding.

I love Cracker Barrel. The staff is always nice and have the list of allergens ready for you to look through (highly recommend). I went for Mother's Day weekend (during breakfast) because i know my GF options. That being said, they do change the source of their product occasionally. I was disappointed to find out that their grits are no longer GF, so my breakfast options are more limited. I may just avoid the chain. Disappointed.

They have a very nice allergy menu that they provide upon request. It lists various allergens including gluten on a tabular schedule. There are additional columns to warn of potential cross contamination due to frying and grilling. Sadly, when you factor all of that, you are left with almost nothing. I ended up with a 4 sidedish meal. The waiter was nice and wished to help but was not very knowledgeable. After my order, he asked if I wanted biscuits or cornbread. He corrected himself after i pointed it out. It probably was just a habitual question but i was not left very confident. I asked that the preparers be notified. I don’t know if that happened.

My friend who is celiac likes to eat there. They are pretty knowledgeable about allergies and are very careful about it. There’s only certain foods you can have but the grilled chicken is delicious!

I’ve always been leery of Cracker Barrel, but I have been to this location a few times and have not had an issue. I get the same thing each time. Grilled chicken tenders, green beans and fried apples. I always tel the waitress that I am allergic to gluten. They have an allergy menu and honestly there is not much for lunch dinner that is gluten free other than what I ordered.
