Some reviews say that there’s a lot of flour in the air but I have eaten here for years and I have never gotten sick from it. They have a lot of cool specialty toppings on their pizzas and good salads

Be careful!! They do NOT cook the gf pizza in a separate area. I used to eat here and never felt well afterward. And the waitress told me that there is flour all over the kitchen! I refuse to eat pizza out at all anymore

Love this place! The manager comes out to ensure us that our food will be cooked in a separate area using precautions. The white sauce is the best!

I come here with coworkers a lot and have yet to get sick. I am a sensitive celiac. I have eaten better pizzas before, but overall it is enjoyable. I normally order the pineapple and ham pizza.

Gluten free crust is available (and cooked in a dedicated pan) and ingredients used for gluten free pizzas are pulled from under the counter to help reduce cross contamination. My celiac daughter did not get sick and loved the pizza crust.

Best GF ever! Kind of thin and crispy but chewy at the same time. It doesn’t get mushy or crumble like others I’ve had.

Salad is really yummy too.

Staff is knowledgable and I’ve never gotten sick from eating here.

The entire food menu is limited: pizza, calzone and salads. Pizza and salads can be made gluten free. Most toppings are gluten free.

Some of the best GF pizza I have tasted. Staff was very helpful and they have a separate area of the kitchen for GF. Had Harvest salad and pizza, feeling great!

This is an updated review-my previous review was under ‘atomicfireball’. Someone told me that the restaurant is much better than they used to be about Gluten Free procedures. I called to talk with the manager and he confirmed their procedure for avoiding cross-contamination including separate toppings and an oven that only the GF pizzas go in. I have eaten here twice in the past few weeks and did not get sick. Very pleased that I can now eat Dewey’s!

Fantastic GF crust! We’ve had plenty around the country. This is legit. Staff was knowledgeable. Asked if dietary preference or allergy. Gave us options. Harvest salad (seasonal) was fabulous! Highly recommend the Dr. Dre pizza.

Really good pizza, they also ask if it's a preference or an allergy. I've eaten at a few locations and never been sick and can now add this location to that list.

The gluten free crust is yummy (except for one time when it was burnt). I have eaten at Dewey’s locations in Cincinnati as well and have never had a problem. They take care in the kitchen to switch gloves and make sure no gluten contaminates the dough.

Every pizza can be made gluten free except anything with meatballs or the taco meat. They make it with toppings from the back and have a separate section of the oven. Our server was gluten free and put me at ease right away. Very good.

Pizza was good and I did not get sick. A friend bought it for me so I'm not sure what else they have that's gluten free.

It depends on who is making your pizza. We went there because friends said it was safe for my husband (celiac) but after we ordered (we told them about his celiac and that it was important that they be careful) my 10yo was watching through the window and saw the workers pointing at the special requests on our order and laughing as they got wheat flour all over his pizza. She came and told me and they remade it but he had already eaten a salad made by these people and he got sick. So, they theoretically have a gluten free prep area, and if you can convince them to use it you might be ok.

The staff was helpful, the food was good. The sad part was the detached weird attentiveness. 5 people asked us if we wanted a second glass of wine in 8 minutes. No one seemed to want to let us relax and it seemed like they wanted us to drink or leave.

While our server was knowledgeable about GF (and we made it VERY clear that this was for someone with celiac), in watching the staff making pizzas through the viewing window, I saw several cross-contaminations of the GF crust. Very scary moment for the mama of a celiac kid. When I talked to our server, he indicated that the pizza maker was not following protocol, and would have the pizza remade. I would caution anyone with celiac to be careful here, and maybe go watch through the viewing window.

Dewey's menu is simply salads and pizza. They have a 10 inch gluten free pizza crust that is soft and chewy. I didn't try a salad but our server mentioned that they make their own dressings. She also asked if I was ordering a GF crust due to an allergy or personal preference so she could notify the kitchen staff which I appreciated.

Pizzas are cooked in a separate oven if the staff is informed of an allergy / celiac disease. Ordered the porky fig and don corleone pizzas. My husband said they only way he could tell they were gluten free is because the crust was on the thin side... He is not gluten sensitive but enjoyed both pizzas. Both were delicious.

They prep their toppings in an area separate from dough and flour. The toppings are sealed in containers that are taken directly to the gluten free pizza prep area. Each time I’ve dined in the manager has taken personal care of my pizza preparation safety. I have eaten twice at this location without becoming sick. Thank you Dewey’s, it’s nice to take a break from cooking every once in a while.

Waiter very knowledgeable of menu and what was safe to eat. I hate when I go out somewhere and people working in the food industry have no idea what on their menu is gluten free and safe for their customers! But most importantly ... their gluten free pizza crust is absolutely the best I've experienced so far since not eating gluten!

Excellent pizza (gluten and non-gluten)! Gluten awareness by staff and management. Hand tossed-pizza in a common area - but, they take extra precautions with gluten-free. Wife is Celiac - her favorite pizza spot. (We've tried many.)

Ok. Very very greasy dough. Didn't give me gluten belly but the oil was definitely too much for my body. The sauce is the best part of the pizza. The red sauce is nice and spicy. I think I'm going to get over the fact that I'm not going to order out pizza anymore. Update: found the best gluten free pizza option in Cleveland: geracis! It's so good

Gluten free crust, all toppings except for meatballs are GF. They make it in a separate area, change gloves, and use clean materials . They can not guarantee cross contamination because it is a pizza place, but I have celiacs and had no bad reactions.

Make their gluten free pizza separately. One time they gave me a $25 gift card because of the extra 5 minute wait because they said they'd made the first one incorrectly and had to redo it before they served it. Very comforting.

Their gluten free crust is amazing. I did talk to the manager before I ordered. The pizza is prepared in the same area as other pizza's so it is at the discretion of the customer with a gluten allergy if you still choose to order. However, they assured me they are very thorough and careful in the prep.

Not Celiac friendly/safe, even though they have a gluten free crust. My waitress did not seem very educated on Celiac or food allergies in general. She did inform me that they use separate pans, but do not have a separate prep area and that there was a lot of flour throughout the kitchen. Against my better judgement, I took my chances. The pizza was delicious. Unfortunately, I got extremely sick from it. I was definitely glutened at this location. I would love to know if any of the Dewey's are Celiac friendly/safe?

We are going with the assumption that they followed safety measures for the pizza. They charge $3 extra for GF crust that was pretty good. The salad we ordered came out with croutons in a side bowl inside the salad bowl. When we expressed concerns, the server argued that since they were in a separate bowl. it should be ok. We will return if no bad side effects!

Pizza was great. It is a location that throws pizza, but when I expressed that I am allergic (not a choice) they let me know they would pull toppings from a secondary location to reduce the risk of cross contamination. Pizza was great (and I didn't get sick!).
